So I picked up an old school trracer yesterday and it came with the stock barrel....and this barrel. I've done some of my own research and found some BOA barrels that looked extremely similar.

I'm looking for the origins of this barrel as well as what it could be worth.

i had an old brass barrel on a trracer kind of like that. it was black where yours looks copperish and was spiral ported...always thought mine was an old SP barrel because of the spiral porting. J&J made some brass like that back in the day I believe too. those were my two guesses

looks like it might be a palmer pursuit brass barrel.

Since there is no porting and there is a mismatch of materials (copper and brass) as well as a poor finish... I am inclined to say it was a custom made (read a barrel made in Joe Willy's barn). I'd get some brasso and polish that beast to a mirror finish then use it as a show piece.

i'm agree with blushifty.

i have a all bronze cocker barrel that is the same color as that piece covering the brass. question - when u look down the barrel, is it a 2 piece or one continuos tube? my guess is that is a one piece , but what is the point of that bronze/copper wrap around? interesting...

It is one continuous barrel. I believe the wrap around piece is a spacer so that the pump arm fits well and doesn't have any play.

oohhhh...i should have read the post better about it being from a Trracer.

with that info, i am going to say that it is a J & J brass barrel.
