depends...if its the RED/PINK shell w/ Pink fill premium ill take the premium over the all star...that pink fill stains EVERYTHING. cars, jerseys, guns...you name it it'll stain

I don't like the premium gold as much as the gold /white. All stars are nice as long as the fill is not pink.. At 40 per case buy one of each and try them both. What shoots good for one person may not shoot good for another.

Both are good paint. The allstar will break more off other players, while the premium won't break in your gun even in heat/cold but will be less fragile against other players.
I'd say go allstar if playing conditions are normal.

i used to shoot allstar (green) years ago and it broke and shot wonderfully.
now, the Allstar comes with a harder shell and the green fill is not the flourescent color it used to be - the yellow fill has always been just regular yellow unless u had the brightglow (Ultra evil) fill that the All Americans and Aftershock were shooting. it still shoots very accurately but doesn't break well at all(same with marbillizer these days). Marbs and Allstars are the same ball now -- from my experience. PMI Premium is a good all around paint - the fill is a little weak on most colors, but the HOT PINK is the absolute best. They also offer light pink, but it is weak. blue/silver shell with the dark blue fill is a strong fill.
all and all, i dont usually buy Marbs or Allstar anymore unless it has ultra evil fill. the value is not there. most places charge $65-75 for Marbs and it is not as good in reference to brightness, thickness of fill or the perfect shell balance it once had. it was just tough enough to withstand any guns pounding but would break consistently on the soft parts of ur opponent. it was the paint of choice at every NPPL tourny for years - and i was sponsored by Proball.
just for the record - i have 2 cases of marbillizer with ultra yellow fill and 2 cases of ALLSTAR with ultra orange fill in my closet. i have shot a case of each during play and had several bounces from both. they really do seem to be the same ball.
but, if i could get Allstar for the same price as premium then i would buy the Allstar (unless the Premium was Hot Pink -then i would buy that).
