The NPPL does have money but its more finite than the money of that of the PSP. The reason you ask? The PSP is owned by the manufacturers, it has as much money as those manufacturers are willing to dump into it. The NPPL is a player owned entity. It stays alive and is funded by dollars and sweat spent by paintball players.
That may be the rumor circulating amongst the players. However, that's not entirely accurate.

The PSP doesn't need to buy out the NPPL. They already possess the personnel, winning format, big name teams, sponsors, and resources necessary to run their events. The NPPL has dramatically less of all the above. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what's really going on here. In the corporate world, companies (turning unimpressive numbers) that get bought out are typically in trouble and companies that buy out others are in a position of power. The PSP would be acquiring the NPPL, not the other way around, and the sponsorship of the industry has spoken loud and clear on the matter of which league is in better shape.

I return to my original point:

The NPPL will come back with a realistic offer or it will die and the PSP won't have to deal with it.

PSP being manufacturer owned makes it an uphill battle for anyone trying to make it as a league. The only way the PSP loses is if paintball declines to the point where the manufactures can no longer afford to run their own business in addition to the league. The odds of that happening are slim to non-existent. As long as the industry exists, so to will the PSP.

To support the PSP all you have to do is play paintball. Anything you buy from KEE, DYE, PE, or GI/Draxxus supports the PSP. To support the NPPL you have to play NPPL events.

The NPPL will probably die at some point, I don't like saying that but it is the reality of the current state of things in paintball.

That last line was great for a laugh, what a wild assumption.

No more humorous than the notion that NPPL sat down at the table for merger talks for voluntary reasons.

ASK me Questions... I will answer to the best of my knowledge. I would most like questions about logistics, but I know that prolly won't happen. This is NOT a if this happens what's the call thread. This is ME a FORMER insider that will answer you. To get it out of the way too, I have assessed penalties on prolly 85% of your fav pro players(many of them ALOT) Also I WILL not Name names but may reference nicknames or attributes about about them if asked.
Please refer to my thread as it is intended, I went off topic too in my replies. this is NOT a NPPL vs PSP so my bad on responding to them.

.

I'd disagree. It's pretty clear that the psp dominates over the nppl in almost every way.

Good thing a bunch of different companies with competing interests and a severe dislike for each other have never stalemated progress in our sport or any other

The PSP expands the pro division and the NPPL teams who aren't already in PSP pro duke it out for the remaining spots.

Refs get paid, both NPPL and PSP. Not sure how much, I used to know. I think it varies.
