So figured I would jump on board with showing some of the guns I have and some of my past favorites
I first started playing paintball in 1999 and most of my playing days ended in 2005 after I joined the marines. In 2008 I started to get involved again with some fellow marines but deployed and got out in 2009 and have not really had time off to play like I used to since most of my jobs I work weekends. So I have decided to start collecting as a way to stay involved with paintball
My ODD Collection for those not familiar with Odis Driftwood Designs they use to offer very custom designs for guns. I generally don't feel the (1 of 1 guns) due to lasering or anno but I do hold ODD guns on a different level. If you would like to see more of their work http://oddpb.wordpress.com/
is a site that is kind of a tribute to them and the other guns that they did
-My ODD PM7 remember seeing this on ODD"s site when they were around and it made me decide that I would send something in for them to do work on one of mine. Unfortunately when I got out of the marine's they were no longer around, so when I saw this come up for sale I was excited to get it. I was told by previous owner that it has never been used in a game before and it looks that way, but I did get a chance to break it in and it shoots great.
cp on off
-My ODD Juggernaut Ego saw this come up for sale and was more of an impulse buy to add to my O.D.D. collection (was suppose to have the you talking to mego coming as well but deal fell through) shoots great.
Rising Sun POW/MIA Geo love the POW guns and really wanted the rising sun edition so was happy to finally add this to my collection I have also put the IV core in it since The GSL I had was probably one of the smoothest shooting guns I have owned
Next is my Air Assault Bombers Ego have the POW Geo seemed fitting to add this to my collection more air force than I would like to admit but still a fan of military themed guns
Infamous SL74, regretted selling the old one I had so very happy to have this one back in my collection has some signs of use, but it will be one of my main shooters so not worried about that
09 ego, when I first got out of the marine corps and decided to get back into paintball I bought a DM9 and got scammed, (not a great start back) but then I bought an 09 ego and I have always managed to keep an ego around since. So I figured I would add an 09 ego to my collection.
Spanky graveyard autococker, these were individually airbrushed then clear coated. Because of this there is some variations from gun to gun which I think is awesome, unfortunately I don't have the matching shroud
Mid Block Karni, trying to build my cocker collection from the Nexus so a Karnivor just seemed natural have owned several in the past and always liked them so decided to go with a mid blocked one this time. Needs a little tuning but shoots pretty good as is
Matrix I have owned a few of the PL ones out but probably wont add any others the Ironmen Matrix is the only one that I always look at when I see them come up.
Ironman Matrix, this is my favorite look of the old Matrix's and with the matte black and matte red is my favorite color combo they came in so this one will stay with me for awhile gold evolve bolt inside shoots great.
Happy to get this one back in my collection. I first saw the IM9's when a friend showed me a picture right before we came back from Iraq. Decided I would buy one when I got back. I have had a few IM9's since then but this is my favorite color combination they came in and I will be keeping this one since I already mistakenly sold a similar one last year that I immediately regretted
Smart Parts, I always have a shocker with me and I have owned most of the PL's that came out. I don't like the frames on a lot of them (dark, ND, TonTon) so I sold off most of the collection.
Waffle Dynasty Shocker, I actually bought had this gun for awhile decided to sell it to buy another and then it came up for sale again so I had to buy it back. Shows it's age but I can't justify sending it for anno since it would lose the shocker fade that they are know for although I do debate it to get rid of some of the tooling marks it has.
Shego, love shockers and ego so this was a must for my collection. Eventually I will look to get it anno'd but have some other projects I am looking at first
A-Bomb Timmy, have had few of these come and go and always had intentions to get them anno'd but have been dragging my feet for a few years. This one is in good condition and I intend to get it anno'd eventually but I think it still looks good for the time being
Splatmaster, impulse buy from ebay always see them going cheap and have wanted to use one, got one in working condition with original packaging plan on testing it out soon
98 Custom w/ebolt was one of my first guns. (if you don't count the Brass Eagle Eradicator that lasted all of one day of play). My friends and I had done a lot of home mods (vert feed before they had a kit to the 98's when we first started playing, cut in half mod to make bolt cleaning easier, trigger stop, new springs, everything we read about on tippmann forums or thought about back then)and I used one on my first team. Then when I sold the e-bolt to help fund a shocker purchase and joined the marines. When I returned home my 98 which was disassembled and missing pieces from being relocated at my parents house. So when I saw this come up for sale I knew I wanted bought it without pictures (kind of regretted that) but it's a 98 they are supposed to be beat up and spray painted still shoots without issues and I hope to play Tippmann World Challenge with it again. Currently the gun my 2 year old daughter "plays" with while I tech other guns so its her favorite
Dynasty Ion pump
Excited for my first cocker build, wanted a convertible ripper for awhile so when these came up at PBE I knew I would be getting at least one... Will take me awhile and still debating getting another do do a pump and a mech but we will see.
