Otherwise, I just stood there with some other allied guys and talked with the refs for awhile while we waited for the flag. German command was def. not what it could have been. Both teams have incredible potential, it just needs to be utilized and understood by the commanding officers.
a.) How hard do these guys want to win/push?
b.) How much gun fighting is too much for them (getting tired, etc)
c.) How to effectively move troops around the field without over working them, or compromising time and missing objectives, etc.

I'm sure you could compile a whole list of stuff to effectively lead your "army" better.

I honestly just am not sure what German high command was thinking about when they sent all of their reinforcements to the beach. If they held the beach, were they getting points or something?
That is why I like smaller scenarios, command is better and you actually see them. When I played at my first scenario it was about 80v80 I knew my general and I was not only playing with him but in contact and communication with him all day both days. At West Point we always know generally what is going on but it is all from other players more than the general but at least we know who to talk to. Skirmish is so big that command has issues and everyone has some sort of complaint. I found a bunch of faults last year which seemed to have not been fixed this year a lot of complaints were generally the same.

If we brought radios to these events we would be able to keep in touch

Well guys say what you want about this game. I was told the reasons the Germans lost was because of two late missions worth 20 points each wasnt completed. So theres a 40 point swing and the winner of the game. This was actually a very high scoring game. I was recruited to go German because that Germans was hoping to have complete tank domination. I think we played well and made a difference at times. I dont know if we dominated as planned. I can only speak for myself and say my tank did what it could to help win the game. I was hoping to do more and go further into the fields of play but didnt because of the very good resistance of the Allied team. Not to mention the numerous grenade and rocket hits we received that stopped our advances. But thats the way the game goes and we still had a great time anyway. I am looking forward to the next game in the fall and hoping that Skirmish will allow tanks at this game. They didnt allow tanks at the Spring game. There are less players at the Spring and Fall games and the tanks can dominate the field alot more.

I really enjoyed dealing with German high command. Great dealings and nothing better than walking through enemy lines with you guys "in custody" after some shady dealings at the french market.

I thought the game was awesome as always. I just didn't understand why so many Germans were on the beach, and I'm not pointing the finger at the German Command for what people were doing on their own. I just noticed a lot people going straight to the beach rather than doing missions. Battle of Berlin is when?

Germans had some really strong lines on the beach and back near the french insertion. One thing is true about lemmings is that they will always join the winning battle. Since Germans were always winning that battle they were focusing on those areas. The biggest issue is that people do not understand how missions work. This turns into the us vs them mentality feeding to side battles rather than missions. I personally enjoy this because it keeps the mission battles slightly smaller and more reasonable.

I hate the lobsidedness of tanks on the german side verus the american side. WE have that crappy little power wheels tank that is knee high and can only shoot straight in front of it....completely useless (I am really sorry to that tank operator I dont mean to be offensive but your tank platform is not utile) and If the tanks are broken up to even the number of tanks who ever gets that one is at a clear disadvantage. I remember BoB 2011 trying to take tippman city, that tank was our escort? it didnt even make it to the city limits before it was called out. Drill some port holes put a net over yourself and throw in an ego in the back and connect it to a 10lb scuba tank. You dont do any damage with the setup that you have

I don't know how it was for everyone else, but we had a blast backstabbing the hell out of not only the Germans and Allies but the other French militias... Even had to "whack" a hitman that Ram hired to take out Keg... Since they carpooled to the game I'm really curious how the ride home went after that one lol...

There was 6 militias each with its own set of goals. The concept was meant to make both the Allies and Germans deal with each force individually AS well as the French command staff. Plus there was the black market.

The intention of the militias was to be slightly historically accurate with the numerous different armed organizations in France during the occupation. We had it set up where each one had their own goals and wants. As was the resistance and Vichy organizations...

However 6 was far too many, plus only about 4 got online in any way. So we learned a value lesson for next year...

I think I got exactly what is needed this time

Lol. Air fills could have been a little bit faster for 4500 nitrous fills.

Am I missing an inside joke or something here? I know they were not ideal up front, but far better than that 2 hour C02 line that was going on. Hopefully they open up the C02 in the back for the start of the game to cut down those lines before play.

I would like to say thanks the the refs that got the back N2 station up for the french. Also thanks to the guys that ran down with the ATV and filled up most the french camps you guys rock.

Unless something changed in the year that i haven not worked there the field has always been the same size(basically almost that whole side of the complex minus on or two far out fields) what happens is the mass majority dont was to go too fat out so you have alot more people playing in the Hemlock(Base)/Rhodoscape/Hood/Sherwood(base) area which makes the field seem smaller than it actually is
