Im sure this has probably been asked alot, but im new to Ions, and i picked one up on ebay. It has a Dynasty body kid, 360 QEV, stock board, trinity clamping feedneck, cp on off, and stock bolt. First air up no leaks, take it over to crono, Chop Chop Shoot drops off at like 10 yards. Is this a dwell problem? it sounded like a dwell issue but i heard a million different answers. Check my detents my eyes and dwell. i was shooting with eyes off.

What pressure are you running at? How much does it drop off between shots? How long does it take to recharge to your set output psi?

When is the last time you changed the battery?

Do you know what the board settings are set at right now? If not, I suggest to zero out the board and count clicks until you reach the stock settings (I believe it's 52 dwell and 48 rof?)

Here's a big question. What hopper are you using?
Your best bet is to reset your board or tune it since you have a QEV installed.

Shooting with eyes off means you can chop due to partial feeds. There really is no reason to shoot with eyes off.

Are they chops or are they breaks? Chops will cause paint to be in your breech and breaks primarily in the barrel. Once you've determined what that is there are a few ways to fix it.

If they are breaks, see if the paint that is being used is crappy and old, or see if the size of the paint is different than the size of the barrel.

Chops are caused a few more ways, one big thing is your detents. See how worn they are. Another would be your hopper. Shoot with your eyes on to see if this problem persists and get back to us.
