Okay I am sure this was covered before but i have been finding different answers and I cannot determine which answers are correct. I am pretty sure the dm8-dm12 have the same LPR designs so I checked all the manuals to confirm what the stock settings are but that just made things more confusing. This is what I found.

DYE manual Stock LPR settings for 75 psi
DM8- 5 turns out
DM9- 2.5 turns out
DM10- 3-5 turns out
DM11 - 4 turns out
DM12- 4 turns out

Is this accurate? it does not seem to make any sense at all. Any info would be appreciated. Can someone make a sticky with the correct info listed the same way as above? Thanks.

DM4-7 with the adjustment screw all the way in your LPR is set to approximately 25 psi (Spring LPR)

DM8-12 with the adjustment screw all the way in your LPR is set to approximately 15 psi (Shim Stack LPR)

Every full turn out from there is 10 psi.

Not every DM is the same so settting your LPR to 75 psi is not going to properly tune your marker.

dm6 is 3 turns out.
dm4,dm5,dm7 is 5 turns out.
dm8-dm12 varies from 2.5-4 turns out.

you can definitely go lower than stock lpr settings on these guns. play with your dwell (up it to 20-22), and you can lower your lpr.
i leave my guns at stock settings and still shoot them with no issues.

Hi, Bought a pressure tester from Dye and for the life of me, I can not figure out where to attach it to get a reading. Probably just brain dead, anybody can help?

Every full turn out is 15 psi, 4 turns takes you to 75. Typo's throughout the PDF version of the manual. Check the printed manual. Or do the math on the stuff in the PDF and it's wrong.

unscrew your reg (hyper2,3 or whatever). screw the reg into the pressure tester.
turn air ON.
read pressure of reg on the gauge.

the pressure tester does not work for your LPR, it's for your HPR which isnt really needed on the dm's it was mainly for the nt's

"To tune any DM this is the process.

No paint in the gun.
Set your Dwell @ 21ms.
Turn your LPR all the way in until tight.
Air it up and fire a shot. (Bolt should stick forward)
Now start slowly turning your LPR out, until you see the bolt get sucked back into the breach.
As soon as that happens, look into the breach and dry fire it a bit, just to see if there is any lag in the middle of cycle or the bolt not being sucked all the way back.
If any of those 2 issues are happening back out the LPR another 1/4 turn.

Now, find a chronograph and start to shoot over it.
First adjust the desired FPS.
Shoot over it. Look at your speeds if they are too far apart.
Back out the LPR 1/8 turn at a time until you see a tight grouping.
Or step on the field and shoot down and watch your paint, again back out your LPR 1/8 turn to get a tighter grouping."

3.5 for dm6-12. dm4- 5 is 4 turns out. dwell is 18 for all

I have been tuning my DM's as stated above and have had the following problem: The gun will shoot smooth and accurate for a couple of hours, and than it runs into trouble, where the bolt doesnt cycle properly, and bolt cant keep up

I than turn the LPR up another 1/2 or full turn and the gun starts firing again. but not as smooth as before, can anything be done to avoid this, or am I just trying to get it too close to the minimum pressure?

On this note, I have a dm that wont seal after closing off the lpr. I have backed it out 5+ turns and the bolt does not get sucked back. Any advice on the next step to get the bolt to seal.

Either your LPR set screw is coming lose (vibration) if thats the case you need to replace the oring that slides onto the set screw, or i've seen it happen with a low battery

things to cause this is

A; leaking bolt

B; your orings aren't lubed enough and or are swelled up and are too tight

C; your LPR needs to be rebuilt/relubed
