I understand that pumping is cheaper by way of paint being used much less, but the guns themselves are more spendy than my main guns. I could probably scour misc bst and put together a really strong shooting sft shocker for $140 complete with ramping and a barrel kit, but to put together the kind of pump that I want I am looking at much more :/

You guys know of any good spots to pick up parts or super cheap cockers that I can kit out? I am big on black magics and oracles, but don't mind others.

Any tips on how to build cheaper are appreciated.

Continually cruze the BST looking for the marker you want at the price you want and then pounce...

While you are waiting, keep saving cash so that you will be able to afford a slightly nicer marker or parts to upgrade a marker you do find.


Keep in mind, even if you do pay a bit more for a gun, the quality of the gun will last, usually the value of it does as well.

Yeah I noticed that these things have hardly deppriciated at all quite impressive.

1) Get an inexpensive used Sniper off B/S/T ($150 or less should do it).

2) Put the money you save in paint aside for a few months.

3) Sell the Sniper for pretty much what you paid for it.

4) Upgrade to sexy new pump-gun of your choice.

Craigslist often has cheap cockers on it. I've seen people buy 2k4 prostocks for like $80 all the time off of it. Buy one of those and slap a ****ty $30 pump kit on it.

Cruz the Mechanical Section for a deal then throw a pump kit on it, or Craigslist, seems like everybody on here want top $$ for their already converted markers.

Don't browse PBN/MCB/TECH PB for pump guns. You won't find them at good prices on there.

I find a lot of good deals on ebay and Customcockers. But more importantly you need to know what things are worth.
I would say start here: http://paintballgateway.com/wgp.html but don't buy from there. The main difference between their guns are econo kit(1 guide rod) vs deluxe kit(2 guide rods), drilled vs undrilled, on/off asa vs non-on/off asa.
This at least sets the prices for you. For used guns a good price is 1/2 of the new price.

I think 160 is good price, even 180 is a good price since it is not drilled, has dual guide rods, has an on-off asa and has a clamping feedneck

I found some great deals on Craigslist. i.e. I found the following gun for $150. But that was because I knew what I was looking at. If you don't know what you are at, I would stay away from Craigslist.




*edit* 1 more thing the most common bodies that people want to pump are the 2000-2003 vertical feed and 2004 prostocks. If you can find one in decent condition for $60-$70 slap a CCM Deluxe kit you will be good to do for a long time.

cruise around for an old semi auto cocker for cheap and slap a pump kit on it. if not id just keep searching around but sometimes you can find people selling off thier cockers cheap and the front block will be broken, and since your putting a pump kit on it you dont need a front block.
