In a move to further enhance the efficiency of our Rhode Island Service Department, no technical support phonecalls will be taken (or returned) on Wednesday's, effective immediately.

Gerry Bates will still be available for the remainder of the working week during normal work hours on (401) 2479061/gerry.b@planeteclipse.com

Finally, when sending in a marker to Gerry for repair please remember to follow these guidelines:
- Call (401) 2479061 BEFORE sending the marker in to request an RMA number.
- Include a covering letter with your marker that details AT LEAST the following information:
- Your FULL name
- Your FULL address
- Your daytime contact number
- A detailed description of the problems that you are experiencing
- Your RMA number.

How to use the new Planet Eclipse Warranty Centre

We are proud to unveil the new Planet Eclipse Warranty Centre:

This is the beginning of a new Warranty system that we have been wanting to integrate for some time now, allowing customers to create an account for themselves, register the Eclipse markers that they currently own and then "dispose" of them when they sell them on, allowing the next owner to register them.

Not only do we anticipate that this will make life easier for you guys the customers, but will also aid our Service Centres when validating warranty information and carrying out warranty and service work.

So how do you use the new system????

Customers who have ALREADY registered their Eclipse marker(s) for warranty should follow this procedure:

- Click on the "Retrieve Password" link on the left hand side of the Welcome page or here
- Enter the email address that you used on your original Warranty registration
- Click the "Retrieve" button
- An automated email will be sent to you with your Sign In details and a hyperlink allowing you to Sign In straight away.
- Once you have Signed In you can amend your Address, Contact, Email and Password details accordingly as well as view and amend your current Warranty Registrations.

Customer who have NOT yet registered their Eclipse marker(s) for Warranty purposes should follow this procedure:

- Click on the "Create New Account" link on the left hand side of the Welcome page or here
- Begin the Create Account process selecting a Screen Name, Email Address and Password.
- Click on the "Next Step" button
- Providing all of the Registration details that you have submitted are valid, you will receive a notification at the top of the Screen to say "Account Created - your Sign In details have been emailed to you". (NOTE: This is purely for your records and to allow you to resume the Sign In process at a later date if you are interrupted).
- Submit valid Contact Details ensuring that all of the required fields are complete (Full name, contact preferences etc) .
- Click on the "Next Step" button.
- Submit valid Address Details ensuring that all of the required fields are complete (Town, Country etc).
- Click on the "Next Step" button.
- Submit valid Record Details ensuring that all of the required fields are complete (Marker model, serial number etc).
- Click on the "Next Step" button to complete the Registration process.

IMPORTANT:
At this stage your account will be classified as "UNVERIFIED". You will be sent a second email requesting that you verify your email address. Please follow the instructions contained in this email to verify your account, allowing you to log into it and start using it.

If you've ever had to send your marker into Planet Eclipse or one of our many Eclipse Service Centres for upgrades or repairs, the chances are that you have been asked to provide a covering letter providing your details and specific details relating to your enquiry and your marker.

As individuals seemed to interpret the requirements with varying degrees of success we've made things a little easier for you by creating this editable Covering Letter form that you can complete, print off and send in:

Effective immediately our Warranty Policy is as follows:

Warranty
Planet Eclipse offers a 12-month limited warranty period on your Eclipse manufactured electro-pneumatic marker. The Eclipse electro-pneumatic marker is warranted to be free from all manufacturing and production defects for a period of 12 months from the date of manufacture, unless a proof of purchase is provided in which case the period of 12 months will be from the time of original purchase. Warranty cover is dependent on successful completion, and receipt by Planet Eclipse Limited, of warranty registration either in electronic form on https://www.planeteclipse.com/warranty or via mail using the warranty card included in every Eclipse electro-pneumatic marker manual. Warranty exemptions include, but are not limited to, labour charges, accidental damage, wear and tear, unreasonable force, surface finish and perishable components such as o-rings, valves, screws, solenoids and break beam sensor units (at our discretion). Instances of customer inflicted damage such as bent frames and any affiliated broken parts will be dealt with on a case by case basis and as such may be subject to charges for parts and/or labour.

As the only current way of providing a proof of purchase is by including it with the mail-in warranty card that is included in all Eclipse marker manuals, I am giving anyone who has already registered their recent Eclipse marker (primarily SL-94, Ego10, SLs, Ego11, Etek3 LT & AM, Geo2) for warranty online the opportunity to submit their proof of purchase directly to me by following these guidelines:

***PLEASE NOTE THIS OFFER EXPIRES ON FRIDAY 31ST DECEMBER 2010***
- Scan your proof of purchase
- Email it to me on: nick.t@planeteclipse.com
- Ensure that the title of your email is "Eclipse Marker Proof of Purchase"
- Ensure that your email includes at least the following information:
- Your FULL name
- Your FULL address (including state, zip and country)
- The model of Eclipse marker that you own
- The serial number of the Eclipse marker that you own
- The colour of the Eclipse marker that you own

Additionally Proof of Purchase may be submitted via fax to either our Rhode Island Office (401 247 0931) or Manchester Office (+44 161 8725972) ensuring that you provide all of the above details.

All Authorized Eclipse Service Centres have the necessary systems in place to verify not only if an Eclipse marker has been registered for warranty purposes but also if a proof of purchase has been provided, so please ensure that you have everything in order asap.
