Spare O'ring after shim removal
Hi,
i got yesterday my new Ninja Pro reg. and i wanted to remove the shims to work at lower pressure. Removal was easy, but this morning i found an O'Ring on my table. But after opening the regulator one more time, and comapring the parts to the manual, I can't figure out where this O'ring is from...
The Pin Valve Seat is much bigger, same goes for the lower Piston o'ring. I didnt romove the Micro Fill Valve, so it cant be that O'ring.
I marked the Ring on the picture.
Any Ideas? Was it perhaps a spare Part together with the 8-32 removal tool?
Greetings
Lel

Not sure where that oring came from. It doesnt look like one of ours. Its very small and it looks like you have all of the correct orings on the correct parts.
After you assemble the reg, make sure to keep those set screws locked down on the bonnet and rotational collar. They can sometimes vibrate loose over time so its always good to get into the habit of tightening them down every once in a while.

Thank you for the fast answer.
I think i found out were it is from, i also bought an Smartparts On / Off Valve, it seems to be an spare Part which i oversaw during unboxing.
I read some times to put some loctite to these screws. Is that something you would recommend, or is it a bit to drastic?

Oil + HPA don't mix. Reading that everywhere.
I'm looking to lube the bonnet threads on my 62/3000 tank where it screws into the ASA. What type of lubricant would you recommend?

So I have tank with a fracture all the way around where the rubber of a blackstar butt cover sits, and a 4 lined ¤ fracture on the top from what looks like a scratch on the tank,
I don't know how to post pictures on this website tho so I'm going to have to likely email them to you

I have 2 ninja regs, 1 is the new ninja pro set to 450 and the other is the adjustable tank reg set to 550. So question - why do both tanks ping? I've tried it with automag/angel 05/ion/empire timmy/quest/shocker/karni pump/ego 11 and same thing result.
On different note, how do I order just the shims for above regs...don't want to order rebuild kit.
Thanks

you could use a dab of blue loctite. dont use any other kind of you do and dont put on too much. you would only need just a little bit to keep it from vibrating loose.

most players usually have dow 33 or 55, both of which work great. Any silicone based grease will work though.

Hi xgreyfox. Could you please email me your full name, address, and phone number to rob@ninjapaintball.com? Make sure to send a copy of your original post in here with the email so I know what the email is regarding. Thanks and I should be able to send you a replacement air system as long as we can determine the damage was not caused by you and that it was caused by a defect in the gel coating.

If you have a Ninja reg that pings, you would have the worlds first Ninja reg EVER to ping.
Connect your tank to your marker, do not turn the marker on or air it up, and the start walking the trigger. Put your ear up against the tank. Do you hear a "pinging" noise but maybe not as loud?
I just had someone else on Facebook message me about a similar issue. when I had him do this test, this is what he states: "In the meantime, when the marker is off and I walk the trigger the marker does make a metal pinging sound but it sounds different - Quieter less squeeky ( the trigger travel adjustment screw on the grip frame). I put the tanks on and I can hear it echo through the tank - I actually hear me handling of both Ego and Geo through the tank. it's strange because the setup never made that sound until i swapped regs and it only happens on the 68 and they're both ultralites on the the tanks."
Try this test and let me know what you find out. If it doesnt ping, then we'll have to have you send the air system in for us to look at if you want us to try and fix the problem. What we'll do is hook up your air system to a marker and try to get it to ping. we will also take a video of the test to show you if its pinging here at our factory or not.
EDIT - we dont sell shims by themselves. If you dont want to pay $12 for a rebuilt kit, I would suggest asking your local store or field if they will give you one for free.

Rob,
I need to get a tank hydrod, but I also would like to have a ninja reg rebuilt. What will that cost me?
Also, is this repairable?

Cost will depend on which hydro service you select. You can view prices at http://www.ninjapaintball.com/hydro.html
The damage is repairable but only if that damaged bottle passes hydro. There's a gouge in the fibers i'm concerned about and I would highly recommend getting that tank visually inspected in person and also possibly hydrotested before using it again. If it passes, we could repair it for $20.

Swapping regulators
Is it possible to swap out the paintball regulator with an HPA air gun tank regulator, similar to the one at http://jdsairman.com/Regs.html?
That would save me a bundle for an air tank to fill my pellet gun.
Thanks

I was looking at the carbon fiber tanks and noticed something between them.
What's the difference between the adjustable regulator and the ultra-lite regulators?
How do I tell whether I have a brass or aluminum bonnet? I'm assuming the threading are the same on both?

Rob - Tried it, and I experienced same thing as above user. But why did this happen when it didn't until I change reg? I bold the above user as they asked same question.
