Cool
Thank you sir, I tried to PM you but I haven't made enough posts on pbnation so the site won't let me yet.
What time/day is the obstacle course? I think we will be there Wednesday ready to roll. Can we drink inside the camping area the FAQ on the D-day 2012 page made it sound like they are pretty strict on drinking?
I also just purchased an APEX 2 barrel for my X7 and can't wait to break it in on the smurfs!!!

The O Course starts at around 3PM on Wednesday.
You'll find a copy of the weeks activities inside the
Stars and Stripes Newspaper they'll give you when
you register.
As to drinking, so long as you don't carry an open
container, get so drunk that the tribal police haul
you away, you'll probably be ok. Keep in mind,
drinking dehydrates you, so if you're smart you lay
off the booze till after the event, but seeing as
you're playing German just disregard everything
I just said.

Thank you to all who played for the 6th. We were a 6th of the German Army....how is that for irony. We fielded AT, tanks, a quad weapon, and we played the entire D-Day field.
You played with heart. You stayed on the field for the entire 8 hours. You never gave up. You played with intensity. You were the heart and soul of the German Army.
We had players from 4 nations and two continents. Next year we will do even better.
The 6th is ready to rock in 2013. Are you????

I finally turned 15 and I am now able to join a SF unit! I am thinking the German 6th FJR would be the best option. By the time 2013 D-Day arrives I will have over 3 years of paintball experience and I will almost be 16, the only problem is I would have to carpool with somebody and I live out in Florida. Do you have any members all the way out here? Also, how many cases of paint do you guys go through and what HPA tanks do you usually see out there?

Great questions...guys go through anywhere from 1 case to 6 cases of paint during the week...I have been 3 times to D-Day and 3 cases are just right for me for the whole week, and that is playing every mini-game during the week. I shot a case and a half on game day alone, and could have shot a little more if I wanted to...It is really a matter of personal preference. I try and conserve paint during the week(I don't take more than 6 pods to a mini) so I can have at least 3000 rounds for Saturday.
Some guys carry two hpa tanks, but I would not recommend that as there is refill out on the field, along with paint. Depending you your gun, I would not recommend anything bigger than a 68/4500 tank. You don't want to carry more paint than you can shoot, you'll wear yourself out...
Bottom line is, you want to be as light and mobile as possible, but also carry a good load-out of ammo and air.

Thank you! Now I know what I need, I can't wait to be out there with you guys. Do you guys do all the mini games? Anymore information please tell me. Right now I got a 47/3000 is that good enough? Or will I be at the refill station to often?

Depends on how often you get shot out!
I have an SP1 with 68/4500 Guerrilla Air tank and can shoot my full load out of 6 pods and a hopper.
YMMV!

You are correct!
My point being... Don't carry more than you can shoot, because, paint and air are generally readily available in dead zones.

Depends, how air efficient is the G4? My vest can carry 6 pods so that is what I tried to make sure I could shoot with the SP1. Only been a couple of times that I've gone through all six pods without getting out at DDay though.

I am changing my macroline and fittings right now, so I think that might change the air efficiency, because the old fittings sucked and leaked all the time. Also on all the events is there more then 1 "life"?

There are a number of DZs where you can refill your tank,
from down south near Sword Beach to Colleville and the
Airfield to Utah.
Sincerely,

Yes, usually the mini scenarios are designed to be several hours long so there are respawn points. The main game has regular respawns from the dead zones.
