To be honest it really kind of surprises me that this is such an issue. In 25 years of playing I can't think of a time I ever relied on the field to provide me with water at the insertions. I usually just drop a whopping five bucks at Walmart on Friday and buy a couple of cases of water. If I run out I make a trip for more Saturday night or buy a bottle or three at the concessions stand. But I don't recall ever walking up to the insertion grabbing a cup, and drinking field water.
But Sparky is right. Since the plan fell through CPX was working hard to provide. They had referees running back and forth in a truck trying to keep water coolers at each end full. However, if you consider the scope of what you are talking about, they would just about need to sink a well at each end of the field to keep up with 700 players at each insertion wanting free cups of water as well as expecting to fill their canteens, camelbacks, and wash their goggles with it.
absolutely. This a paintball event, not social services If you need something..bring it. If you run out..get some more. Having water at the dead box was a bonus and is much appreciated. Keep up the good work !!
