Pump question

Hey nation, got two things for you today.

1st, cocker serial number 11xxxx would be what year? It's got a vert feed and a little bit of basic cosmetic milling. It also has channels on both sides of the body for a pump rod

2nd, is there any pump that will fit a VF tactical? none of the CCM ones seem too unless I decide to mini.

The first one is probably a 2002-2005 autococker, but without seeing it I couldn't be sure. It could be any number of things.

As for converting the VF tactical, there isn't an off-the-shelf kit that will work.

I'm not positive, but I think it might be possible to use a 2K Minicocker pump kit in conjunction with an extra-long pump arm. Don't quote me on that.

Another option would be to cut the front of the body down to "normal" minicocker spec and again use a 2K minicocker kit.

so I'm guessing the 1st is a 2k2.

would I just mini the Tactical like a normal cocker? leave a 1/4th inch?

and what makes a tactical and normal different?

As I understand it, the VF tactical bodies were like 2003 bodies but with no mounting points or inlet holes were the vertical ASA would normally go, requiring them to use a one-piece frontblock/ASA like a minicocker, but spaced way far out.

Now that I think about it, if that were true it would probably be cheaper and easier to drill and tap the body to take a normal ASA than to cut it down to mini-length. Assuming you could do that, it would allow the body to take a standard 2K pump kit. Measure the length of the body that extends past the barrel on your two guns and see if it matches. On the other hand, the VF guns' front blocks may actually have been spaced even further out than on a "normal" 'cocker of the time. I'm not sure.
