Ions will take so much abuse dont listen to anyone that says they aren't reliable. I have owned stleast one from the time they came out till now and I own 6 atm. Anyone that says they are hard to work on or break easily are retards

The only "issue" with an Ion that i've ever come across is: User Error.

Over tightening of a banjo and snapping it off? User error.
Breaking of battery wires? User error.

They are reliable as long as you take care of them and regularly maintain them. Also make sure to check everything out if you decide to pick up an Ion or an Epiphany. The previous owner may not have taken very good care of it and it may need some replacing and good maintenance.

Clean and lube the bolt after every day of play. HPR is dependent on how often you play.

I've owned the same ion for about 5 years now ever since I started playing, I've had many problems but have always been able to get it working. For the last 2 year I've had 0 problems with it. Getting all the initial kinks out is the key in my humble opinion.

Tip: Once it works where you want it to, DON'T MESS WITH IT. (:

Great marker, consider buying a BOB (bolt-out-back) frame, so you can lube your bolt easier.

my ion has been pretty stable and doesn't feel flimsy. Not afraid to do anything with it

I've had my ion since they first came out. It is truly a workhorse, set it up, clean and lube, use fresh name brand batteries and it will always shoot.

This is what I was told when I inherited my Ion.... once it gets back from its repairs and rebuild (due to previous owner) it will be be babied like my real guns.
