tippmann gryphon problems

hello i own 20 of these. the guns were purchased for a summer camp. nearly 180 kids get to play paintball for the first time here.
problem i have 5 of the guns that will just shutter the rear bolt back and forth rapidly. ive dissembled the guns cleaned and Lubricate the markers.
still the same problem.
thanks for the input.
BTW its obvious i do not know much about these guns. but with a little direction ill be ok...

Usually means the co2 tank is near empty. Try throwing a full tank on them

ohh forgot to say i only use air no co2 and the tank/ tanks im using for testing are completely full. thanks for getting the ball rolling though!

If you over lubricate the sear, this can happen. Check the sear and rear hammer to make sure they are not worn.

Also, check the striker oring for wear since you know how to disassemble it. How old are these markers?

the markers are a year old. but are only used two hard weeks a year.

Check the sear and the catch on the bolt like everyone else said.

Change all the orings especially if they have been sitting around unused for a year.

^That should not be the issue

Check the sear (The metal part that holds and releases the bolt.) If they are in good shape, chances are the valve isn't giving the bolt enough air to push the bolt all the way back for the sear to catch it. If that's the case, send Tippmann an email, they will take care of you. You can also try putting a few drops of oil in the asa hole, and manually pushing on the bolt handle to release the air. that should lubricate the valve assembly

I thougth putting oil in the asa was dangerous and could cause it to fly off? Maybe I'm wrong?

It's fine to put oil into the ASA of any blow-back marker since the oil will exit the valve when it cycles. It will also lube up the internals. You only need two or three drops. Also it is a good idea to remove the barrel and dry fire the marker about ten times. That will keep the majority of the oil out of the barrel during actual use.

DO NOT PUT OIL IN THE REGULATOR OF YOUR HPA/LPA TANK. Thats the issue.

Since I saw you were running CO2 earlier, its less of an issue but try not to get oil in your valve (at least I do). When oiling the valve, tilt your marker down to the ground and put a few drops in the hole of the ASA. Then put your tank on and fire it a few times after leveling it again. It wont lube the internals as much as it will keep the valve pin seat from drying out and cracking.
