Ignore the guy trying to unload his G4.
Get the Mini. It's a proven design that has stood the test of time. Small, light and shoots ropes.

G4 is definitely a better gun dude, obviously your new to paintball. g4 can shoot over 35 bps and is still accurate while the mini is not so much, i would know, ive owned one.

Accuracy has nothing to do with the gun, troll. Who needs to shoot 35bps? I smell failsauce all over you.

and you have owned a dangerous power marker?
reliability is in the user, not always the markers fault
I guess i could say my g3 marker is the best on the market over any highend because i don't and never had issues with my g3...
Every marker has issues no matter how expensive it is or who made it, most problems are user error.
I can show you threads about the macdev clone gt having issues with the solenoid, guess that 1400.00 marker was worth buying right?
To the OP: if you can, hold and shoot both markers and decide from there
All speedball markers are light, if you can't hold up 2 lbs of aluminum, I would suggest a good workout routine.
Both are actually very good markers, honestly if your getting a mini, I would suggest the V3 version.

The mini is more reliable than the g4. with the g4 you either get a good or bad one, minis work all day every day no problem

Hey I saw ur post and personally I think the g4 is a better buy. i have shot both and i have a g4 and like it a little better then the mini. However, the mini is just fine to. i have a g4 i could sell to you if interested and I can include a sly barrel with it OR my friend is actually selling a mini with the virtue board in it which is a real nice feature and he would sell it to you if interested. Let me know if you are interested in buying either of these, and if you want anymore advice on which to buy or how to maintain both of them I can help with that to.
Thanks

I really like how the g4 owners are trying to sell you their g4. "They are so awesome that I want to sell you mine"
Get a mini! I have 3 and I won't sell you any of them

Get a mini for $200 on craigslist.
If you get bored, re-flip it on craigslist and recoup your 200 bucks.
Fast, cheap, reliable, no macrolines, easy to fix.
If youre picky with features, save up and find an Axe on craigslist for $300.
I always found DP poppits(FX/Fusion) to be more reliable than their spools(g3/g4). With that being said, none of their markers were very spectacular or eye-catching(except for the Rev-i kind of).

Forget the Etek3, you actually wanna shoot something that is enjoyable.
If you really want a planet eclipse marker for $350, find a decent Ego8.
