We could always use more pump players.
Guam needs its own sub-forum. xD

You may prefer playing the real gun in Guam.

Still have paintball in Guam....just played last weekend. As far as whether or not you'll like Guam that's up to you. Some people like the island style life/attitude/tropical weather....and some don't.

They have alot of people the play out there? I'll be back on island towards the end of this year. Trying to figure out if it's worth the trouble hauling all the gear out there.

Here's a vid made by one of the players in Guam to give you an idea of paintball out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdFeB...ature=youtu.be
We only have 1 real field and that is Xsport and it is field paint only. Xball is currently the main format. Field rof is PSP 12.5 bps and velocity is 285 fps. There is a Guam Xball league which is a 5 man race to format that follows the Paintball Asian League Series (PALS) rule book. The Xball league starts in April and ends around October (4 legs every other month). Currently a team from Guam is in Thailand right now for the 1st leg of the PALS..most of whom are in this video. There are two shops that sell gear which is Xsports which is also the field and Rush gear. Of course you can check some of the local sports stores and kmart for stuff but very limited and usually cheap stuff unless you want tippmann. There is a small paintball field(half an xball field size) on the air force base but not sure how often people go there. There are some outlaw fields but those are pretty much limited to friends and families doing their own backyard thing. Unfortunately no woodsball/scenario games out here that I know of. I tried to promote pump but it didn't really take. Saturdays are primary rec players, rentals, private parties, etc. Sundays are usually mainly the tourney speedball player types.
Feel free to ask me questions.
The field website is www.guampaintball.com but it is currently undergoing site upgrades.

I live 5 mins from Anderson.....I have base access so getting on is not a problem. The Xsports field is right across the Guam Army National Guard Readiness Center. About a 15 min-drive from Anderson. Guam is 30 miles long so everything is rather close to each other. If the Marines ever get stationed here would be nice if they held scenario paintball events at their urban warfare training center which was a former base housing.

I'm sure you won't have a problem finding the field. Just PM when you get to Guam and I'll be more than happy to help you out. There are some guys stationed AAFB that play but haven't been out in a while.

Tournament scene out here is limited to the few teams on Guam. The format is based on the Paintball Asian League Series(PALS) which is a race to 3 and race to 5 format depending on division. The last "league" followed a race to 3 with PSP ramping at 12.5 bps. There is only one active field on Guam which is called Xsports and it has 1 Xball field. There is another field on the air force base but it looks like it's only open based on appointment and is a really small field. So the scene here is small. Saturday games are normally rental and casual rec players. Sunday games are primarily the tourney style players. When night games are available(usually summer only) the field ROF becomes semi-only. Field velocity is 285fps. Field fee is $10 for all day compressed air. Paint is $60-70 a case. No co2 provided and there is a shop with limited inventory at the field. There is another shop that sells gear as well called Rush Gear which is not too far from the field. Then there's the typical stuff at walmart and the occasional outlaw fields out here.

Sounds good on the paintball scene I suppose. How many do you normally get out on a Sunday? How long do you guys play? I'm used to going through about a case to a case and a half on a good sunday. Kind of the same there?

For a rec day? Hmmm.....I think most players out here go through a case tops. I'm usually around 2-3 bags myself. I normally stay on semi even though everyone is ramping.
