When you register as a player on the APPA, they give you a 5 digit ID number and a 4 digit password.
#####-####
^ID#^ ^pass^
When you click "Register my team" on an event page, you enter the full 9-digit ID number/password on the roster page to add each player.

If you view your APPA profile, there's a tab titled classifications explained. On the most basic level, you receive classification points for every APPA event you play. The points vary based on division, format, how you place, and other factors. The better you do and the higher the division you play, the more points you receive. Once you reach certain benchmarks, your player rank is increased.
