Noob Ion question

Hey, just getting back into it but I'm in the need of a new tank. Right now I have a steel 3000/45 with a maxflo on it that is 3000 as well. If I got a new tank that was 4500psi I would have to get a new regulator or something like that I'd imagine? I'm not sure how exactly the pressure works.

I'm assuming that you're asking if you need to replace the regulator on the Ion and not the tank itself... in which case, no you wouldn't need to get a new regulator for your Ion.

But if you mean the regulator on the tank... your tank would already have one pre installed to match the tanks pressure (3k/4.5k).

If you just got a tank, that is 4500psi, with no regulator on it, you will need to get a 4500 psi regulator. The maxflow will work on the tank but if you go over 3500PSI you'll blow a burst disk.

If you're talking about on the ion, no nothing should change, I'd recommend bottoming out the reg and resetting your pressure to make sure the new tank output is not greater than the maxflow.
