well i am wrenching on a mag 4 the first time, and i am using c02 which has been even longer. i have a mini mag valve in a classic body, i lubed it up and gassed it up and it was kinda shooting, also air was leaking out of the barrel... and the tank begun to get really really cold...anyideas?

Hold the trigger down. If it continues to leak then you have a bad on/off. Replace your 2 top on/off orings. If it stops then it's your power tube area. Bad oring is the usual culprit.

The tank getting cold is normal if you have a leak down the barrel. As CO2 travels from the tank to the marker, both will get cold.

Mini mag valves don't like co2. I never used it on mine.

Automag/Minimag valves do not like liquid CO2. I run my minimags on 3.5 oz tanks on the vertical asa with no problem. If you are using a tank on a bottom line you need to have an anti-siphon tube installed to keep from running liquid. If you get liquid into the valve, it will freeze the o-rings and they will leak. Usually once the warm up, they will reseal. The information above about checking by pulling and holding the trigger to determine which is giving you problmes, is good info. Hope this helps.

powertube o-ring freezes and hardens due to the cold liquid CO2 and the valve seat(disc shaped w/small hole in it),also. if u use CO2, u have to use an anti-siphon tube in the tank to reduce liquid getting into ur gun.
