Autococker superstock possible eye problems

Hi, I have a superstock and im not sure if the eyes are function properly on it. When I power up the gun the light blinks yellow which I understand means the eye is on. The funny thing is the solenoid still clicks when you pull the trigger. But it does not allow the gun to fire quickly. In eye on mode no matter how fast you pull the solenoid only clicks at about 5 bps. This happens when aired up as well. In order to get the gun to fire like it should the eye must be turned off (light blinks red). Is there a problem or am I just not understanding how it functions? Any ideas or input is appreciated. Thanks!

Yep, without paint the eye delays the shot so possibly another paintball can load into the breech to prevent a chop. If you turn it off it will shoot like normal without paint. Otherwise you need to use paint with the eye on.
