Bolt "flickers" when enough HPR is opened
I just got an 08 invasion and when I first gased it up it didn't have a leak, however the velocity was WAY low. When i increase the HPR a leak appears in the back block area and the bolt sort of flickers forward and backward like it's trying to fire. What can cause this

Clean and check your LPR.
Also try checking the solenoid.

Wow - get enough guns out there and even the unimaginable come up.
Leaking as pressure increases is most likely the solenoid - the bolt flickering back and forth - maybe solenoid venting - but haven't seen that - and can't think what else it would be.

I'm guessing it's one of theproblems that usually cause the bolt to stick forward but in your case may just be right on the verge of working. Those being, the ram oring worn, LPR not regulating properly or LPR being bypassed with high pressure air.

Well after taking it apart several times and checking everything, I noticed the bolt was upside down.... Switched it and works oh so smooth. Now we know what happens when the bolt flips

So you bought the gun with the bolt upside down?
It seems many that buy guns used get them broken with very simple fixes.
I don't know why players sell cheap instead of getting them shooting right first.

It wasn't sold "broken" and in fact I was about to get really angry the third time I took it apart. But it seemed to be an honest mistake since the guy buys and sells guns at a quick rate. Jack I would like to know if yall can give me a hookup at getting a new solenoid though for the future. I believe it's the pre-MAC noid so what am I looking at paying to get a back up or trying to convert the noid if possible

So you turned the bolt upside down?
Or he did?
Point being that many times guns are sold that no longer work. OK, honest mistake - only saying that guns get sold when they don't work and it's often a very easy fix.
I have solenoids for all guns - converting, nope.

The seller stated "he tested the gun and no leaks," however, afterwards, he wanted to thoroughly clean it. I'm guessing that's when the bolt was flipped because that is how it arrived. I have seen somebody get a ol' reflex cocker for ten bucks because the owner had the bolt flipped and thought it was trash. I just don't have the luck to come across those.
As far as the solenoid goes, can I just shoot you a PM on here whenever I can grab an extra solenoid?

My last gun(not an alien) that had an issue was almost brand new in the box. It had an iron filing under the noid gasket so it was leaking. He thought it was a dud lol. Removed the filing........gun worked like a charm. BAM!
