Is this a good field for a large/big guy who is brand new to paintball to train and meet new friendly people?

Size is irrelevant anywhere but Pro is a great place to play in the summer.

Plus it's probably one of the busier fields in the state, perfect for making new friends or finding a team

MN PRO is def. a great field for what you are looking for. The field is at it's busiest on Sat. & Sun. There are great woods ball and speed ball games going on all day so you can play whatever fits your interest. Being one of the busier fields it will be easy to find a group of people you like to play with. my two cents...

-All the field are getting a makeover
-They are adding a brand new field
-Hired more referees to keep games moving at a constant pace
-Many, many more events this year. (3 big games, 3 boot camps, and lots more store events)
-Increased paint quality (Empire Custom Blend & RPS Premium Gold)
-Adding tables and pavilions to the staging area to accommodate more players
You are basically paying more for paint in order to increase your overall experience at the field.
Worth it in my opinion. Plus its not like you're paying more for crappy paint.

The paint at MN PRO is solid. Never had an issue. I have heard several times now that people are bummed about the paint prices at MN PRO. This is not a ding on Air Assault, but don't they charge around 70 or 80 per case also?

Ya they charge $20/bag and list no case discount.
--Paint (100): $ 5
--Paint (500): $20
*All players are required to use our field paintballs. Air Assault/APPG Paint Only
MN Pro's bag price may be more, but there is a significant discount on case pricing.

So basically Air Assault/APPG is CHEAPER for season pass players than just about anyone in the metro.
We also offer the absolute highest quality field paint. Marbalizer. Our standard ball is also our tournament ball.
