Is the TechT IFit 9 Piece Paintball Barrel system any good?
I was pretty much set on getting a freak stainless steel insert kit for my luxe but I ran across this kit and it looks very appealing due to the variety of sizes it offers and the cost.
Can anyone offer some feedback from experience of using this system? Would be great if someone has used both and can offer a side by side comparison.

Honestly, I haven't used the Ifit kit, but I feel like the control bore is too small to really provide any help. While the Freak is bigger, and I can tell that it does help, I still feel like the bigger the control bore, the better.
What I would do would be to get a couple Lurker Eigenbarrels for around the same price as the insert kit.

I would go with the Freak kit, The tech t has such a small control bore I don't see how it would make a difference.

I shot the python kit (techt bought out python and renamed it ifit) and it worked alright while keeping the looks of the stock barrel. However the control bore is too short, you'll see better performance out of a freak kit, or better yet a deadlywinds fibur.
And used freak kits can be found for cheaper than a new ifit kit.

The problem I see with the IFIT system is it still uses your stock barrel. I have used a few cases of Valken Gaffitti Paint that I was shooting through a .695 freak insert and a couple of friends tried it out and got nothing but barrel breaks due to their stock barrels being smaller than that. So a full barrel kit seems to be the better option in my opion.

Not to be a total tool bag - but did you really drop almost two grand on a luxe 2.0 without the knowledge of the reason the Freak system works better than the ifit?
The length of the bore in the freak kit it much longer than the ifit. TechT dropped the ball on the ifit and multiple of their representatives have admitted in the past that the longer control bore would be more beneficial. The suggest they always make when its brought up is "Use the ifit with the freak and its better than both alone" which is pretty much a cop-out in my opinion.
Freak > ifit all day long.
Side note - the luxe barrel is made to support freak inserts - why spend even more money than you already did? That money is better spent on playing.

Also, the luxe looks silly with any other barrel on it but the stock with freak inserts.

I didn't spend anywhere even remotely close to 2k on the Luxe. To be honest no I did not know the difference in the Ifit over freak system or I would not have made the post.
I have always heard good things about the freak system but I have been playing off and on for last 18 years and up until my automag was stolen it never seemed to be a need to match paint to barrel for accuracy. No matter what I put in my automag it shot hella accurate everytime. All the newer guns though while lighter, more efficient, faster, and quieter they still lack the consistency of my stolen automag.
(moment of silence for my lost mag may she rest in piece)
I do not have endless cash to drop on a barrel kit. So i want to make the right decision the first time.
I do appreciate all of the information provided in these posts. It looks like the freak barrel kit is still my best choice.

I don't think you guys are getting the picture here.
The iFit is not a barrel system. It's just a control bore/thread adapter system.
Say you like the stock barrel, but it gets you rollouts when you use it on a sniper. You put an iFit kit between the barrel and breech with a small bore insert to prevent from rollouts or just get a little better efficiency and oomph out of each shot.
You can't shoot it by itself.

This. I always thought the iFit was designed to prevent pump rollouts and nothing more. But hey whatever floats your boat. To prevent rollouts, I just got the deadlywinds with inserts and she works like a charm.

I still aspire to hook up 9 iFits together to make a super Epi insert only barrel.
Oh, and start it out with the inception back and a .678 ss insert. Bwohohohoh

RedRiot... Are you serious?
The stock barrel kit is one of the best out there!
It's far better than any apex and bore sizer kit combination.

I hang out with a local sponsored team. They were sponsored by Techt and so they had to shoot the ifit. This year their sponsorship ended and they universally went to freaks, CP's, etc and got rid of their ifit's. A 1" control bore is good for stopping roll outs, but not much more.

I've used it as a barrel extension and a step up bore addition and I love it. Great piece of kit. Saying that however, I do use it on my Kaner Kits.
