Invert Mini Eyes problem

Hi guys,

my marker is a stock Invert Mini (Blue Flames) with Optimus 1.3 board.

The marker is properly cleaned and lubed. Regulator set at 190.

The marker shoots with no problems with eyes OFF.

Problem is, when eyes are ON, it only fires 2-3 balls, than it refuses to fire, as if the eyes dont register a ball in chamber. The LED starts blinking slowly, but when I change the position of the gun, for example point at the sky, or ground, it starts blinking fast again and will shoot another 2-3 balls. After that it again blinks slowly, not registering ball in chamber. No matter what loader I use (Empire or Rotor) still the same problem. The eyes are clean and everything is lubed according to user manual. What can it be ? I am lost, no more ideas....

Second question is, can I limit the ROF / BPS to 10,5 even when the eyes are off ? Are the eyes needed to limit the firing cadency ??? In other words, is the ROF setting working even when eyes are off ?

Thank you for your ideas and help.

Sounds like you have a loose connection if you can move it and it works.

Follow the instructions to remove the eyes, and re-seat the board just in case. If you still have issues notify Kee and see if they can help you. Their customer service, as shown in the thread on the main page, is pretty exceptional.

Or you can just pick up some Virtue eyes if you want.

Yep, I completely agree. Try to pick up Virtue eyes... it's worth it. I love mine.

KEE's contact info, just in case: 1-800-220-3222, tech@paintballsolutions.com.

Yeah,
They say they save power, and that's nice... but honestly I'm super nerdy and need to see my eyes on when I power it on the first time when I get to the field. So I ripped the stock eyes out of my Axe and replaced it w/ Virtue. Now I can see them, and my OCD is calmed.

It's a fairly simple process on both an Axe/Mini to remove the board and re-seat it and you'll learn about your marker doing it. Can't hurt to also use it as a chance to check the internals/clean/lube.

Re:

Thank you guys for your advice.

I already disassembled mi Mini several times, the eyes are clean, with no visible corrosion, the board looks as new. I am only unsure if it is not the Optimus board that is faulty. If I buy Virtue eyes board and it still doesnt work, that would piss me off... I guess there is no way to be sure ...

Email Kee (or call them). Let them know what you've done, and so forth. Give them as much info as you can.

They'll let you know your options.

I could see the 1.3 board becoming faulty. Call up Kee like everyone has said and they'll hook you up with a new main board or eye board, after telling them your problem.

I wrote KEE an email, describing my problems, now waiting for reply.
You see, I live in Slovakia, it is very hard to find parts for a Mini here. I hope KEE will be helpfull.

Thank you all.

Rof

Thank you for your advice.

What about the ROF setting with eyes OFF ? Does it still limit BPS ?

With eyes off, the ROF isn't capped.
