Ok so i have a NT10 (with nt11 internals if that matters) that has already broke 2 eye pipes. They were the new updated eye pipes that were supposed to be better than the original ones. I have already purchased a parts kit for my NT but i would like to see some thoughts/advice on why the eye pipes crack and how i can prevent this.

Oh forgot to mention i have 2 orings on my barrel should i have just 1 or is the two fine.

If you're cracking the eye pipe and have an o-ring on your barrel, then I would check the rubber eye holder and make sure it's properly seated. I've seen them on other DMs and NTs not sitting all the way down and it puts some pressure on the eyepipe (which could lead to cracking). I've never had an eye pipe crack in any of my DMs or NTs when using a single o-ring on the barrel.

I had a similar problem with the NT10. I used two orings on the barrel back and made sure I didn't crank down the barrel super tight when screwing it in.

most likely cracking from not having an o-ring on your barrel like what they said up there ^^

the problem is the crappy plastic eye pipes! In your case it may be that the 2 o-rings allow a small gap in front of the pipe which then shifts back and forth and then cracks. Try one o-ring on the barrel and see if it makes a difference. Also make sure that the 2 channels that hold the pipe from rotating aren't possibly misshaped and as a result are twisting the eye pipe. In my guns the eye pipe goes in pretty easily if I don't force it and have it lined up straight before sliding it home. Mine are just tight enough that the it takes just a few ounces of force to slide in/out. I've personally not broken an eye pipe, but know plenty of people who have. They end up buying my spares. It makes me wonder if there is some differences in machining that makes mine easier on pipes.

I have had my NT for 2 years and have never changed an eye pipe. and it is shot every weekend
