Question .688 Question

I want to buy a Dye Ultralight barrel for my Ego 11; will a .688 bore size work on my Ego 11? What are some pros and cons of this size as well.

Any bore size will work for your marker, as long as the barrel is the correct threading.

Realistically, you should get a .684 back.

The con is that an Ultralight barrel in the same bore size as your stock barrel is actually going to perform slightly worse. The stock Ego 11 barrel uses a .689 I believe with a longer control bore than the ultralight has. This is likely going to give you better efficiency on the stock barrel over the ultralight barrel.

The pro is only really if you are a big fan of the Ultralight barrels look or something. Don't get me wrong, they are awesome barrels your just not going to see a performance benefit. The stock eclipse barrels are very well honed and very well designed so you aren't really going to see much if any difference in switching over.

If you go with a smaller bore size (say .684), you will be able to squeeze out some better efficiency due to the tighter bore fit.

Shaft 4 boost kits and lapco backs are available for your shaft 4 barrel to give you more barrel bore options.

Smaller Dye backs are available in .680 and .684.

If you want something very quiet you should try the new Disrupive death touch barrels. Its got an whole 8 inch control bore and reverse threading like planet eclipse.

I have the first kind of disruptive barrels and you wont find anything quieter. Very nice barrels.

The new death touch seems to have the same porting as the original and should be just as quiet.
