A good average I would use would be a .687

But if you shoot a lot of the same paint, see if you can check the bore size with someone elses and see if it works for you

.685 is a generic size, i suggest going to your field and finding what a good underbore is though

That. .685 is a decent "I'm not sure" bore since it's small enough that most balls will be decently snug but I would go even lower if I were you

Best way to is to size the paint at your field. I know here in California is usually best to run .685 for semi and .680 when playing pump. Our field paint tends to run on the small side.

My field runs Premium and I use a .678 and it works great. I honestly wouldn't go bigger than a .684 or you will get a ton of rollouts if you're using a cocker or using an electro with bad detents. I use a .678 Eigenbarrel with my Pm7 and it shoots great...I'd recommend that.

It also depends on the altitude you play at. I've noticed this playing at Splatterpark in Ohio like Pirhana92 above and Dragonman's here in Colorado that the paint changes size, even though the brand is the same. I use a .689 Stiffi up here on my 'Cocker and it's perfect paint-to-bore match. In Ohio, when I go back and visit, I switch to a small-bore JT or PMI of about .684

i havent had to use anything bigger than a .684 in the last two years.

if your really concerned about it best bet would be to get a 2 piece barrel and a couple of different backs/inserts. like a .684 for normal use and maybe a bigger one just in case.

I have literally shot the same .684 ultralite for about 2 years now. It has worked flawlessly with any kind of paint I've shot (Premium, Premium gold, Ultra Evil, Basic grade, Some crappy Valken, DXS Gold, Gold hellfire, etc)

.684/.685 is a good all around bore
i actually use a .678 more often because it allows me to lower my pressures and get better efficiency...

and i play pump
