Etha Fireing mode HELP!

I just received my etha and I am trying to set my etha to psp and when i chose firing mode 3 (psp) it seems a little slow like shooting 12 bps instead of 12.5. any thoughts?

My first thought would be to check what your rate of fire is set to. You may well find that the marker is set to 12bps, rather than 12.5bps, in order to give a little leeway and ensure that the marker is legal. Having your marker set right at 12.5bps risks penalties, as marker boards and ROF counters do not always agree - ROF counters need to be calibrated regularly to ensure accuracy, and this may not always be done. If the calibration is out of whack, your marker could end up measuring over 12.5bps, and then you receive a penalty. Safer to set the ROF a little low to avoid this.

If you catch the difference between 12 and 12.5 you must have some pretty damn good ears chap!

I certainly make the difference between 10-12 and 15 bps but a 0.5 difference, not likely...

And what have been said is really true, up here in Canada we have 15.4 bps allowed in the CXBL but most set it at 15 just to be sure!

we did the math and if your holding a lane at 12 bps and the mirror player is shooting 12.5...shooting for like 30 secs....it was a significant difference, enough so that I def don't want to be on the lacking end.

30 seconds with a 0.5 bps difference, 15 balls doesn't really seem like that many especially when your just laning.

Or to express it another way, one additional ball every two seconds. Is that worth the increased risk of a penalty if your marker clocks a little over 12.5bps? Personally, I'd rather set the ROF a touch lower, and play it safe, rather than to try and get the marker shooting slap bang on the max allowed rate.
