Don't think you need an ID to pit, but like the guy above MAPL really doesn't require one like PSP or NPPL would

from what i recall from back in my time. If your team/friends/family/etc pit under the big white tent by the food and all, your good. By the fields, in the roped in areas, you will have a nice referee check your id card, otherwise, you will not be allowed back into said area.

Buying and id would be great, because then if you wanted to play, you could and not have to worry about an id later in the season
