Pev's Free 5Man Race-to-3 Tournament:

Divisions:
Beginner: No prior tournament experience other than local events (D5)
Open: No Pro Players Allowed, All Others Welcome

Date: Sunday July 1st
Registration Deadline: Sunday June 24th

Location: Pev's Paintball (39835 New Road, Aldie, VA 20105)

Rules:
Race to 3 (First Team to win 3 games)
Ramping: 12.5 BPS
Chrono: 290 FPS
7 Player Maximum Roster
Snake Side Coaching
Check-In at 8:15AM
Captain's Meeting at 9AM
First Games at 9:30AM

Event Prizes:
1st Place - (5) 3 Month Play Passes - Over $4500 Value
2nd Place - (5) 2 Month Play Passes - Over $3000 Value
3rd Place - (5) 1 Month Play Passes - Over $1250 Value

Prizes based on a 6 team minimum per division.

Paint:
$45.00 (At time of registration) / $55.00 (Day of Tournament)
5 Case Minimum at time of registration
Only Paintballs Carrying the Pev’s Logo are Allowed at Pev’s Paintball Park

*Pev’s will provide players with free basic rental equipment if needed.

It is a card that has a from date and a to date. So basically it has your name written on it and says you can play between that time frame for FREE. You bring the card to the check-in counter, they verify it is not expired, and then they give you a wristband. In other words you could go 7 days a week or 1 and it would still last until the expiration date.

Currently we don't have the max number of teams set. We will probably cap it at 20 total teams (both divisions combined) if we think we are going to get an inrush. We are hoping to get as many teams as possible. Pev's is an amazing facility for anybody who has not been before. We have 2 fields and we will probably be using both of them.

Generally there is just one type of paint for the events. It will most likely be GI Sportz 3Star. Occasionally they will get a skid or 2 just for the events though.

Pev's operates a little different than some other series. We try to keep the beginner division strictly to beginners. Some people are ranked D5 yet have lots of tourney history and just have not played in any major tournaments for 3-4 years. We do not want these teams sandbagging in the beginner division. We want the beginner division to be open to teams who are new to speedball and have limited playing experience. Often times some of the beginner teams have only played less than 10 times.

With that said, if you are an experienced player who can manage in the open division that is where we would prefer you to play to keep it fun for everybody. If you have questions as to whether or not you can play beginner than PM me.

The event is July 1st so it is quickly approaching. There are enough free agents to make a team if teams do not pick them up.
