What's your definition of "cheap?"
Support your local paintball store.

Go to your local field and see what they offer.

If Wal-Mart is still selling Visible Impacts in your area, get 'em.
If not, you're out of luck. The JT and Zap balls they sell at most stores are crap, you'll have to go to a field or pro-shop to get a good quality ball. Valken runs around $45 a case, whereas Visible Impact, which is just as good, runs about $30 a case.

Doesn't necessarily mean they offer good quality cheap paint.
My field offers XO spectrum, doesn't shoot any better than the stuff at sports authority IMO, but they still charge $42 a case.
Like I said previously support your local store, they'll have nice paint for a economically viable price.
Empire heat $40 a case at my local store, shoots pretty great, have no complaints, and doesn't take out too big a chunk from my pockets.

.....
I actually tried that visible impact stuff yesterday. Bought it as a last resort because we couldn't make a trip to our local store.

I couldn't hit a tree if it was seven feet away. I was playing in a national forest.

Just cause your field doesn't know how to store paint doesn't mean walmart paint is better...

Walmart paint sits on the shelves for months without bring rotated or anything and probably sit in a hot semi trailer for a long time before getting in the store.

..... I never said to go to walmart? I said support your local store. assuming they get a fresh batch which they do tell us every time, the paint still performs poorly I think.

Edit: You were probably saying the Walmart thing towards the other guy, as I quoted your post and it showed up as his quote not mine..

valken and DXS make the "best" cheap paint, at the end of the day its not going to be that good at all.

walmart paint will always be horrible compared to everything else unless you sneak into their delivery trucks since it sits in the stores so long

Wal-Mart sells Visible Impact paintballs for around $20-$35. These are without a doubt the best paintballs I've ever used. You can check out my review of them here, for more detail.

The problem people have with this paint is not due to the paint being poor quality, it's simply because Wal-Mart has a tendency to let items sit on the shelves for long periods of time. This obviously has a pretty significant impact on the balls themselves. If you are going to buy any kind of paintballs from Wally World, be sure to open up the box and make sure that there are no breaks or dimples.
