Hi Nation,

My LUXE broke some paint and the eyes went into bypass mode. I cleaned the eyes and body with a q tip and rubbing alcohol and removed all visible debris however the eyes still only function in bypass when I fire the gun with my finger in the breach (only cycling at 10 bps). Is this normal or should the solenoid be clicking at the max ROF that I have it set on when I test with my finger in the breach?

If you just leave your finger the breech and the gun doesn't detect any movement it will act as if the eyes are broken. You need to shoot paint through it to see the full rate of fire.

this, if the eyes dont get a time when there is nothing blocking them they will just do into the bypass mode.

Yes listen to these guys. The eyes need to see a ball then no ball to function properly.

I'm having the same problem with my 2.0. Gun is about a month old and this past weekend the eyes went into bypass, tried cleaning the eyes breech eye covers everything. For some reason the gun is still shooting slow. I doubt the eyes are broken because i have yet to even take the bolt out of the thing. And I shot it using paint not with my finger in the breech. Help amigos?

I am also having the same problem with my 2.0 eyes. It will only shoot 9 bps. I have tried cleaning the eyes and that didn't help. Any help right now would be great.

Problems here to, been fighting it all weekend, mine will jump form 8-11 bps in "vision on" and wont hit 12.5. When i turn the eyes off it hits 12.5 no problem. And they have about 2 bags of paint through them, just put them in on friday, there 2.0 eyes.

I had to replace a set of eyes in my brand new 2.0 already. They stopped working completely though. DLX replaced under warranty without me having to send my gun in.

Guys, I suggest trying to blow the eyes clean. I work at a shop (and can fix the airstation if I blow the oring out of the fill whip!) so I take the fill whip, put it into the breach of the gun, and turn the air on for about 1 second. This blows out any crap.

The other things to look for (your guns are new, so more than likely not the problem):

-Does your flex strip (the eye strip) still have the backing on it?
If not the eyes can bounce around and cause them to default!

-Do your eye covers have the foamie / spring still?
If not, the eyes can bounce around and cause them to default!

Also, I know this is not a fix, here are the settings I set every Luxe we sell to (& what our team guys use)

Firing Mode: Capped Semi
Dwell: 16 MS
BPS Limit: 15BPS
BPS Fine: zero point zero zero
By Pass BPS: 12 BPS

Setting your bypass bps to 12 bps will allow the gun to shoot considerably fast than the 9 bps if they do default.
