04 Speed does nothing after a full charge when unplugged

bought a used 04 angel speed...charged it using a radio shack 12volt charger for a good amount of time...8+ hours....screen had stopped with the charging battery indicator...green light still on..unplug and the screen goes dark and wont turn on after. Any suggestions would be good. Thank you, Brad

Double check all your battery connections, although if they were broken the board shouldn't have indicated the battery was charging. If you have access to a multimeter, check the battery's output voltage. It may have dropped a cell and does not have adequate charge to power the board.

What should the output voltage be...trust that I am not an electrician or have a background in these guns...I am a autococker(mechanical) fan. But I have a soft spot for a good deal and this one is going sideways real quick....I have ordered a new battery pack that is guaranteed and should be good for quite awhile. I am also looking into the virtue board cause its just money and shooting people has its advantages!!

The battery voltage should be 4.8v fully charged. If you've already picked up a new battery pack that will rule that out. The Virtue is a solid board, but will cost you nearly as much as this gun is worth, so proceed at your own risk there. If this is a gun you plan to keep it shouldn't be a problem, but you may not get your money back out of it if you want to flip it.

Def. not going to flip it...I would be laughed out of the paintball community for my asking price alone...Might as well make it all it can be.. If the sensi is trash too which some people on mccarterbrown are suggesting, can it be bypassed and the gun still used on semi? I like angels and I like their reliability so I want to keep this thing..but I dont like all the other trash that this gun has on it to make it "run".

Sensi actually works pretty well as an anti-chop system if you set it to the proper mode for your loader. You can disable it and run plain semi with no anti-chop though. If you do decide to switch boards, no aftermarket board supports Sensi, so you wouldn't be using it anyway.

That links to a pic of the gun itself for me, but the board that's in the same album is an A4 board, and the pic of the gun appears to have an A4 board in it as well - the 03/04 Speed board display is black with an LED panel. The A4 board uses a greyscale LCD display.

Do you think the board was swapped into the gun? Or is the gun a a4? It's kinda confusing for me! Either way I am hoping the battery fixes the issue.

Board was swapped - the gun itself is absolutely an 03/04 Speed.

Took it out aired it up shot a hopper worth, just semi auto and it shoots laser straight. It has that a4 board in it so I may dabble with the other modes....may go the virtue route in a lil bit also. I feel like Tom hanks in " money pit"
