I was concerned about the hood when I bought my Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 OS. Everything I had read says the hood just screwed on and easily backed-off/rotated. When I got it and put the hood on, I almost **** when I heard an audible click and it locked in HARD. I'm not sure if mine is a fluke or if they've fixed it across the board.

eta: example of sharpness from my 17-50. Glad I got it when I did, they jacked it up another $100.

How I'd miss all the whiskey an' women.
I tried to be true, but it's all I can do,

It is, I'm just not really ever wowed by what it produces. Doesn't feel like the extra stop gives me any better depth of field than my 70-200 f4.

1) lowered saturation

2) playin again with some water in the creek... was fun to just relax and play

3) soooo much bokeh with the 300... love it

4) colors really pop on this one, and dig the natural smile

5) first time tryin this shot

6) diggin this one a lot... natural, and sharp... i like the loose crop too

Picked this one off last weekend at the track. Reminded me of the cover of Abbey Road...
