So I recently bought an Etek 3 and am looking into getting a new barrel kit. My question is what are the differences are between the shaft 3 and shaft 4 kits by PE? I mainly hear that the shaft 4 is quieter. Is that it?

The Shaft 4 has a longer controlled bore than the Shaft 3. That is the main difference. The Other difference is that the shaft 4 back screws into the tip instead of the other way around. As for sound level I don't notice a difference.

Do you think that the shaft 4 shoots straighter because or the longer bore? Or is the difference minimal?

I think it does a longer control bore can only hve a positive affect
