Any mask will do -- just have a sled / shield handy.

When I used to ref I wore the jt proteus mask, in my opinion it's pretty good for communication and field vision. It's also the mask I play in.

The new Profits are great for reffing. Would not recommend reffing in the I4s due to taking a shot in the cheek from a piss poor snake dive at cup (Player dove in and gun was still ramping/shooting all over the place and took a ball under the mask)

I use Proflex, I4 or my Grillz. I have Pro-fits... but damn they get hot. Great for getting hit though, hardly ever feel it.

My flex's, all day, every day. I ref in them, I play in them, I live in them. There is no need for any other mask, ever.

Thats what I use. The white LE i4's with the bronze dyetanium lens. Perfect for woodsball because it blocks the sun and it pops out easily.

Avoid yellow lens. Typically, mirrored is the better choice and provides plenty of comfort for your eyes. The yellow lens will wash out much of the spray when players take hits.

Grillz have been my preferred mask for many years.
