Will an automag work on 650psi?
I have a guerilla gen1 myth reg, it's output is only 650psi. Can I use that with a mag?

on a classic mag it will be fine, assuming the myth actually stays at or within that 650 psi range, if it an RT that is near the minimum working psi, it will probably work with minor adjustments but no guarantees

It can work for slow rates of fire, but I'd bump up the pressure if I were you. I actually had the same issue and called GA and they sent me a spring/port kit to bring my pressure up to 850 psi, I think I only paid $15 out of pocket. It took me 5 minutes to switch it out.
Or, as cheap as Hp regs are from Ninja and Crossfire anymore, you could just buy a new reg. Both Ninja and Crossfire tend to work better on Mags, as they are higher flowing. But if you're not intending to Pneumag it or get the RT effect, a standard 850 psi should ensure that you're chuff-free.

Even with the spring kit I couldnt get two different myths to do the
job with my mags. They never did do more than 700 and the recharge rate
is not good at all.
Get a Ninja reg and you wont have any chuffing problems.
This tank had a Ninja on it :

I just got another Ninja for $25 shipped, click "make offer" and put 25 in there:

You can get them to run in the 650-700 range, but not with that POS reg. The flow rate on them sucks. I run my Xmag at 700 psi with a Dynaflow. They are incredible regs.

The newer Stealth regs from Crossfire are also the ticket. I recently swapped my Myth (850psi) out for a Stealth and noticed a HUGE improvement. The Myth always worked, but only when the tank had 1500+psi in it. After that, I had to stop walking the trigger or it'd chuff. I also swapped my Tickler Lpr for a Palmers and the thing is near-unchuffable now. Definitely as fast as an electro on semi. Damn, there needs to be a "guns blazing" smily on here...

Pressures
Mag valves are barely operating at 600 PSI. Dont care about recharge rate. 800+ or a damn good bottle like a Dynaflow is required. Realistically, if they had their way, Mags would prefer 1000+ PSI. I know a couple RT's that love about 1200 PSI.

I have a very early myth reg on a 45/45 that I use all the time on my classic valved mini-mag and Ive never had a problem but Im pretty conservative and patient when I shoot so Im not really trying to shoot tons or lay ropes so Ive never had a problem with it chuffing due to poor recharge.
