Does anyone mill UL backs to fit freak inserts?

Not sure if they still do it, but Nathan at Odell's Paintball did mine. Note: there is no oring that holds the inserts in place one you have it bored out for freak inserts. The barrel compresses against the body when screwed in, to hold the inserts tight.

^You are my hero! I have wondered for so long why the insert can slide out when the barrel is off. Sorry to detract from OP I'll pm.

lol - no worries - yeah, Freak Backs, and Deadly Wind Fibur barrels have internal orings that hold the insert in place. So the insert drops out of the UL and other custom milled backs, perfectly normal.

Typically if whoever mills it correctly, the insert will fit, exactly flush, and maybe 1/32 out, so as you tighten the barrel on the marker, (Oring on the barrel ofcourse - so you dont crush the insert) the pressure holds the Freak Insert in place.

Fyi, a member called super_stanchy mills barrels for freak inserts. I see him mostly on mcb & facebook, but he has an account here, too, i think the sn is the same. $35, includes return shipping to the lower 48. His work is highly praised.
