Sounds like you answered your own question. There's really nowhere close to play around there other than picking a random woods and rolling out with a group of friends.

When I lived back that way. We used to play at fields in lima and Indian lake. Or traveled to Xenia to play. I don't think they are there anymore. Fort Wayne was always close driving from delphos. But I got used to traveling anywhere from two hours to play good competition

There used to actually be a pretty strong paintball community in the Lima/Findlay area (it's where I grew up), but it's dried up since all the fields closed up.
I think with a field for people to congregate at, you might be able to kickstart that community again, but it may take a couple seasons.

That might be a bit of a stretch.
I'd look for something that has enough land that you could build the building to your specs after the field is up and running. Do outdoor only for awhile to get yourself established, and dedicate a large portion of the land to the scenario/woodsball side: that's where you make your money. Trying to cater to only the tournament crowd just doesn't work.

And this is where you lost me. I'm in Spencerville and would love to see a nice paintball field in the area, but only if it offers some nice woodsball fields. If you are looking at a speedball only type field, you just lost a crap ton of your potential customers.

I live in findlay and would definetly be out if you made this happen. I play xball and dont care much for anything else but the other guys are right. Most of your money will be coming from rentals and rec ball players. The last time there was anything within 30 minutes of here was when my buddys dad had a pro shop in his garage and a speedball field in the back yard lol. Best of luck!

Tell your investors you don't plan to make a profit in the first 3-5 years. Even running a field from home or a cheaply acquired parcel of land things add up fast and money doesn't come back in as soon as it leaves. Just keep this in mind when your talking about fiancees.

We need a feild around here. If you have the means then do it. I would at least have one psp airball feild and the rest woodsball.

i'm in lima, i think it'd be awesome if a field opened round here, i'd probably be there close to every weekend.
as for the field itself, be like what a couple of the others said, mainly woods ball, and maybe an airball field
