As the title says, I want to know which would be a better buy, Etek 4 or MacDev Drone DX?

Both are great manufacturers and both have really good guns. These are their medium-end guns and which one would be the better one to get? I would like some pro's and con's of both

Spool Vs poppet. Both are good guns. Try the Drone out if you can. An Etek3 will be similar enough to the Etek4 for you to get a good idea of how it should feel. After you try each, then make you decision.

The drone is smoother, but the difference is not enough to favor over the Etek's case, warranty, reputation, maintenance, prow ice, prestige.

For that matter, etek4>etek3>>>>>>>>drone

Can't compare a marker that hasn't been released to the public yet. How do you expect anyone to give you an honest, unbiased opinion when none of us have shot the Etek 4 yet?

This. Honestly though i was never a fan of the etek series, so i can expect low of the marker. But honestly PE will give you better support for the marker, itll be stronger, less problems and easier to fix. I was always big on that. BUt the DX probably seems the better choice.

one is a spool and one is a poppet. They are both fantastic markers. Its just your opinion. I would go with the Drone DX as of right now. I just don't like the look of the Etek board. The drone is a great looking marker as well as a great shooter.

Drone IMO. I think it is a much better gun. The only thing the Etek has over the Drone is much better customer support.

The CS at MacDev has come leaps and bounds over where it was a few years ago. In addition to having countless non-certified helpers on here, there is an entire forum that their techs operate. On top of that shootnpoo and pooty are on the macdev train, you cant go wrong.

I completely agree with you. The guys on here are awesome. I am mainly referring to the slow email response time and general lack of contact information. I can't just call them up and chat with them about a problem like you can with BLAST.
