Attn: All West Coast NCPA Players; Potential Tournament Opinions/Suggestions Wanted!
Hello All,
Northern Arizona University & Arizona State University (University of Arizona is currently trying to be contacted) are interested in hosting a sanctioned AA NCPA event in Phoenix come this Fall 2012 school semester. We are gathering all the essentials to submit an application to NCPA for this event. What we need is some input from you guys.
-Would any west coast schools (Aka CSU, UC schools, UNLV, etc) be interested in an event like this? Most events seem to be either in Texas or further away. Opinions would be appreciated.
-How about the time frame? Is this a reasonable time? We are trying to decide a time where it won’t affect NPPL or PSP events. Would any WCPPL or other leagues interfere during this time?
-Do you believe the costs are reasonable for the event? Opinions please.
-Would anybody be interested in reffing? Must have prior experience. We need a minimum of 8. What is a respectable amount to pay referees?
Potential Event Info (please note this is POTENTIAL and not TENATIVE):
Event: AA event only
Location/Host: Fort Adobe Paintball Complex – www.fortadobepaintball.com (Turf fields!)
Arizona Paintball Depot http://www.arizonapaintballdepot.com/
Date: Sometime in November
Entry Fee: 300$/team
Paint: TBA
Any further information will be posted and updated here. Otherwise, we would love to hear your opinion and ideas. Please be considerate and respectful. Thank you!

Long beach would probably be interested depending on the date. Hard to say whether it will interfere with WCPPL or not since those dates aren't released yet

Entry is spot on and paint has to be byop. Chris's rules. I can almost guarantee long beach will be there. If you need any help let me know. We have a lot of experience dealing with the Ncpa.

The $300 entry is good if the event is BYOP; if it's field paint only, that is double the price of all of our other Class AA events.
Contact me directly if you guys have any questions concerning this event; we're more than happy to help get a West Coast division up and running.

Hey we're working on the final details of the event before we go ahead and post an official thread. But it is looking like it will be held around mid-october. We'll keep you all posted on any updates.

NMT NRG is down. We usually play in the SCCC, but an AZ event would be nice. Let us know. We usually do the FPO and 150 entry, it works pretty good that way. Just keep us updated.

Tournament Update
I could have sworn I had more information in my previous post the other week. We're partially done setting up the application with the field owner. Here are a few updates on the event - The tentative date we are looking at is Saturday, October 13
- The event will be at Fort Adobe Paintball Field (website at bottom)
- It will be around $200 and FPO. The field owner said he is looking at either GI or RPS for paint. No price set yet for paint.
Let us know if there is any additional information that you all need.

Thats more than SCCC prices for events. Might look at making that 150 and FPO, thats what usually goes down. I'm more than down for this event. TX probably isn't.... Its like a 24hr drive for some of them. Its 7 from us to you, and 17 from us to Houston.

$200 is a bit steep, I suppose unless the paint is like $35/case or some such.

Like I said, it is all still tentative. If most of the other events are $150, we'll more than likely change the entrance fee to that.
