One eye sends signal (light)
One eye receives (off, no light).

So you will always only see light from one eye.

That is normal.

Try resetting the board back to factory settings.
Instructions from the DX users manual.

Quote:
Resetting the software

If you would like to reset your software to the factory default settings, gain access to the tourney button your board, then enter the programming mode. While in programming mode, press and hold the tourney lock button.
After approximately 10 seconds, your indicator LED will flash all colours indicating a reset has been completed.

Um...yes!

Too much lube!

A light coating that makes the rings look wet is plenty. What you have pictured is enough lube ten guns!

Yes, when you turn the gun on the LED will glow yellow instead of red.

I just played with my Drone DX for the first time this weekend and I just have to put this out there to anyone thinking about buying one......

Excellent marker !!!!

It was super quiet, fast, accurate, and a smooth shot.

When I compared it to my friend's Geo I honestly feel it stacked up better.

The Geo had a visible "kick" when fired as opposed to my Drone DX.
It was louder and just didnt feel as good of a balance.

Out of the box I only changed the fire mode to full auto and turned up the ROF.
I left all the dwell and bolt stick/delay settings alone.

If I had to change anything it would be the ASA for something like the PE POPS system.

One thing I do like about the GEO 2.1 that my friend had on this marker was the tool-less bolt out back feature that I really admired.

Aside from that It was well worth the money.
I am glad I didnt spend 1200 for something that performs just the same.

Having said all that.... does anyone know if there is a Tool-less back cap for the Drone DX anywhere for purchase ????

Macdev.net has the grips and orings by the bag. Oringmonkey has sets of orings if you prefer to buy them that way.

getting some bolt stick/FSDO on my Drone DX. Pretty sure its lube related. All stock settings. Any places to avoid lube or use a little extra? I lube the valve oring, inside the bolt where the valve rides, the bolt switch orings and inside the keg where those ride. Thanks

I've found that less is better with lube on this drive. I use the old formula militia lube. I tried monkey poo and did not do well last winter. It may be Ok now that the weather is warmer. The usual culpret is the bolt mid orings or valve. Leave the bolt tip bare, and the front keg inner keg oring a little moist. You can try changing the 016 bolt mid orings and see if it clears up.

I tried the xrings on the bolt and valve, and found they did not improve any seal or performance in the dx. Other have said it worked for them.

Yes, I know for sure the VP works. I have personally installed and used my VP trigger in every MD gun I have owned since 08.

The trigger frame has two mounting holes for triggers...the VP trigger needs to be mounted in the furthest one back in order to operate.

Bolt question here.

I lost and can't find the first oring on my stock bolt, I believe it's the thin one.
Marker shoots fine but without it. What is that oring for ?
