Best tanks to use?
From your experiences, what's the best psi to use with the luxe? I was using 450 psi, but only shooting around 270-280 fps. Gonna try 550 psi this weekend. Also, does efficiency suffer with a higher psi?

I've heard several people, including the tech's at Ninja, say that 550psi is the optimal pressure for Luxe markers. It doesn't matter which version either. Hope that helps.

As per Rob@ninjapaintball, 550psi is what they found to be the optimal output pressure needed for the luxe to cycle properly. The luxe will run perfectly fine on high pressure, but a mid pressure would be easier on your reg *not as much work needed*. A lower output pressure in theory would give you a few more shots per fill but if you want to save yourself a few bucks, just use your standard adjustable reg and just remove the shims as needed. I think if you just leave one red one in, you'll be sitting at about 600psi. shoot rob a pm, he's always more than willing to help out.

muhahahahahahaha!

Luxe manual suggests 650psi, I prefer a mid pressure Guerrilla, but the fad nowadays is Ninja.

Yeah I have the ninja reg and placed the silver shim back in which will put me at 550 psi. I'll test it out this weekend and let you know my results

I'm partial to Ninja and Crossfire myself. As for presure, Luxes seem really tolerant. Anything from 400-900 psi seems to work just fine.

Pooty suggests 550psi. I use the new Ninja Pro tank shimmed for 550psi and my Luxe shoots great.

You tank reg will not meaningfully effect efficiency. You can shoot the tank down lower before the imput pressure for the inline regs drops (causing velocity to drop) but the effect is VERY minimal.

I put my Ninja slp tank on my Luxe and it shot fine, I'm gonna see if it changes in velocity at all from my 500 psi out put Ninja reg.
Id love to be able to use the same reg for my sniper, luxe and g6r.

Some luxes run fine with the slp regs but some also leaked out of the noid like mine did.

I run mine at 850 (simply because I've never bothered to change it) and it works beautifully.
