Great workout with Tim this weekend. I saw improvement in everyone I hope everyone internalizes what they learned. Now on to other stuff.

Again with the 1st Event on May 27th I need everyone to go over their equipment. If you are have gun problems that you can't solve get it to GOG very soon. I will have 2 spares at the Event a SFT and a DM7.

Gary, how are you set on O-Rings in your kit? I can get it to Corry and refill them this week. Let me know.

Luxe batteries are yours keeping a charge?

Clean and lube guns after last practice.

EVERYONE will change thier Rotor batteries the night before the Event.

No tears in Playing Pants.

Goggles in good shape no cracks.

Goggle Lenses?

Download RULE BOOK and READ it. Yes, Rules were meant for you

HOTEL IS RESERVED

Hampton Inn Batavia
4360 Commerce Dr, Batavia, NY 14020 United States of America

Batavia hotel with an indoor pool

I have 5 Rooms reserved for now. Cost will be about $44 each.

Below are the list of drills I remembered from this weekend, I've got it in a Word doc if anyone wants it. Let me know if I forgot any, I sent Tim a FB message for a list.

One ball snapping
- Two players square up in their bunkers and practice 1 ball snap shooting. Each player can only shoot one ball at the opposing player before they have to tuck into their bunker and come back out. Coach should be watching for form, ensuring that players are playing with left and right hands, and that they are coming out of the bunker in a non-repetitive manner (shooting high/low/over the top and left and right).

Bloody knuckles
- Same as one ball snapping however players are forced to play one side of a bunker until they are instructed by the coach to switch sides. Also, one player snaps while the other player is required to stay posted. The posted player is not allowed to tuck in when being snapped at. After player does the 1 balling side, they then move to the posting side. You switch sides and positions after each player has put a significant amount of shots on the other player (usually have to wait for the snapper to hit the poster)

1 on 1 with sprints
- This is a great drill to end the day on. Players place their marker at their start box. They then sprint to the other start box and back where they pick up their gun and play a 1 on 1. Loser stays and plays again (not consecutively if avoidable); winner is done for the day. This can also be done as a 2 on 2.

OTB laning
- Set up an object (we used 55 gallon barrels) at the area that you would want to lane. Practice shooting one ball from the gun down starting position. Determining the height at which you want to hit the object is key. Once players are getting consistent at hitting the height, shoot streams and eventually have a runner run through the lane and report results. Good to have a spotter at the far end to judge height of lane. Also, Tim said never try to follow the runner, just pick the lane and commit to it.

100/500 3 on 3’s
- The goal of this drill is to learn to effectively take advantage of a 100 or 500 situation. Team on the near side (assume snake on right) starts with players in the 3, 4 and 5. Players on the far side start in the 1, 2, and 3. The goal is to have the widest player (5 or the 1) keep the home player from bumping out. The middle player (2 or the 4) is supposed to move down the tape to shoot the opposing players (don’t want this to be the wide player because as soon as the wide player moves the home has an easy opportunity to fill out). The goal of the 3 player is to move out to the weak side and do damage control.

Hopperball points
- Good drill for early in the day to learn the field (especially for new layouts), work on communication, be aware of paint conservation and practice moving. Play points as regular but only with only the balls in your loader.

3 on 3’s race to 50 on the tape with one player without gun
- Assume D side is on left. Place a player in the 1, 2 and then the closest bunker to a good Dorito bunker (assume it’s a bunker that would mainly be a secondary bunker, no primary). Mirror this setup on the other side of the field. The player close to the Doritos does not have a gun. The goal is to get the gun-less players to the 50 Dorito but they can only move when a team mate tells them to move. If you get shot, you’re out.

Penalty points
- 4 on 5 points. Set time limits. 90 seconds to 2.5 minutes. Goal of the team with 5 is to win point as quickly as possible. Goal of team with 4 is to draw out point as long as possible (if not win the point, but main focus should be staying alive)

LUXE question about my eyes, I posted in the DLX forum as well:

My LUXE broke some paint and the eyes went into bypass mode. I cleaned the eyes and body with a q tip and rubbing alcohol and removed all visible debris however the eyes still only function in bypass when I fire the gun with my finger in the breach (only cycling at 10 bps). Is this normal or should the solenoid be clicking at the max ROF that I have it set on when I test with my finger in the breach?

Let me know if this makes sense!

That is normal. The eyes have to "see each other" in between shots for it to go full BPS. You need to run some paint through it to see if you got it workin' right. Unless you can move your finger up and down 15 times per second... If you can't, see KTown. I heard he has fast fingers...

Thanks for the firm time. Also, since this is the last Event 1 practice. Shall we tear down and erect Event 2 after practice?

Also, Pods will need sorted and washed after this practice.

3pm check in

This is approx 6 minutes from the field.

I am continuing to hold 5 rooms. I will need a final head count on Thursday. So keep on top of this!!! Or you will be paying for to many rooms. 4 to a room is the norm.

1. Everyone change your ROTOR Batteries and wash out your ROTORS inside.
2. Clean and lube your marker. I have eyes but need to know if you need them.
3.Wash all of your gear that you will be wearing. I don't want anyone called out with old practice paint on the gear. Remember no torn pants repair them if you have to.
4. If you owe me money from today please paypal it.

YA FISH!!!!
