I don't remember the branch of service but back before the kinder gentler basic trainings one individual who loved snickers bars had his mom send an entire carton of them. The DI gave him five minutes to eat all of them and each one that he couldn't eat was some PT immidiately afterward. Obviously he couldn't eat a box of snickers so he PT'd until he threw up.

On another forum I'm on there was a super moto marine recruit that got a care package that was marked "Future Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Accord" that was also sharpied on the outside 'redeemable for 15 minutes in the pit.' The contents were a pink AF water bottle, an AF coin and an AF PT shirt. He was in the pit for 15 minutes to get his package, the DI kept the coin and he had to carry the water bottle for PT every day.

Dude in our flight at basic got a package of donuts. Was told he could choose 1 other person and had 3 minutes to eat the entire thing. (Was 2 dozen). Dude tripped down the stairs on the way out and wound up spending time in the hospital with a broken jaw instead.

If anything, send a bunch of random pictars in an envelope and on the outside put a bunch of red lipstick smooch marks and spray it with perfume...also include a terribly written letter that would embarrass the **** out of some kid...it happened in my flight, it was quite entertaining

Just kinda over engineered. Lots of issues as stated in the video. We are spending a lot of money to purchase, and maintain them and they serve almost no purpose tactically at this moment (unless we go to war with China or some other Air to Air war)

Its a pretty plane that looks great in movies and airshows displays... and thats kinda it.

Meanwhile we are killing the A-10... It's kinda sad.

Watched the Article, we've been breathing through charcoal filters for years, if they were the reason pilots were coughing up black**** we wouldn't use them in our gas masks.

I would hope they would have run an analysis on the black stuff inside the oxygen tube to figure out where it came from. they need to find some way to take air samples during the flight to try and pinpoint the issue. I'm also a bit curious if it's every plane or if it is only certain planes. granted that info isn't disclosable but I'm just wondering how well they are tracking it.
