Correct me if I am wrong Valken Rep. Is this Valken's first attempt at an electronic marker or has there be plans and prototypes before?

This is an upgraded version of a marker from Canadian manufacturer Mokal, called the Aura. Valken is doing their own version, with (from what Ive read here from Don) a new bolt/board/different milling etc. The Aura has gotten great reviews from what Ive seen, hopefully this does well. Mokal has been around for a long time, making entry level STBBs and similar entry level markers. This one mlooks like a solid mid end marker for anyone on a budget or anyone needing a nice back-up marker.
Though the speculation that was surrounding their (possible) high-end marker interested me when rumors were circulating so many months ago.

The OEM seems to be a variation of the original 2011 Mokal Aura. Mokal probably proposed the platform to Valken as an OEM marker. The prototyping the production of the original platform has already been done by Mokal.

Sorta like the idea of a mechanical on-off. No more having to shield my eyes to see a little led in bright sunlight, no nore gun turning on in my bag. Obviously not huge issues, but this is a welcome idea.
Any chance of seeing this at a tourney event this year? I'd like to hold one...

IF it has the same board as the aura then it sucks. It switches back to semi auto every time you turn the gun off. Who in the world thinks thats a good thing?

Point taken--the testing I've done so far (with the good paint and fastest loader I could scavenge) I've hit around 23. The dryfiring we've done puts it over 29cps--but finding a loader than can actually put out that much paint has been a different story. I don't think the hurdle is the gun at this point.
Sweet avatar btw. I own two of them and love them
We are all on the same page. Unfortunately, the manufacturer was pretty set on keeping some things the same, and that was one of them. The cool part about the switch though is that it actually physically shuts off the power, so it doesn't drain the battery when it's off.
It is. I would say more but I want to respect the PBN rules.
Front grip is being changed--the above is just a prototype. You won't be disappointed!
IMO, the trigger is everything in a marker--and this one is good. You'll have to check it out in person to really know for sure--but it's impressive.
Much respect for Planet. IMO, they set the bar realllllyyy high with customer service, R&D, marketing, and the actual product.
Thanks for the pro-tips.

I'm no professional in CS, but keep this up man, you answer questions and give me hopes to follow the release of this marker. If the foregrip looks like it wont bust my hands when it's actually released, you may have a customer.

For the price, the performance, and overall feel, it's a winner--I don't think there's anything in it's price range that comes close. I was *incredibly* impressed with the gun.
Stay tuned over the next few weeks where we'll release full specs, more information and photos, and a few videos demonstrating the gun and it's features. I will answer any questions (that I'm allowed to ) that you guys have, post them up.

Can't wait to shoot this gun to actually experience it! Don't know anything about it, however I noticed two things from this picture which isn't pleasing. 1) That very small foregrip doesn't look to practical. 2) that big bulge on the side of the marker doesn't flow well with the rest of the milling. Though it may make up for it in the shooting department. Trigger and guard looks sweet. Reviews to come. Like I said, can't wait.

Pleasure to meet you Mr. "Professional Scientist." I am Justin Bieber's big brother who worked under Donald Trump and owns three islands off the coast of New Zealand that I use for factories where I produce my uber paintball gear. The factories make a brand named "Dye" ever heard of my stuff?

Definitely a potential customer but I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the barrel port for both pics that have been posted have been covered by a hand.
