Fine, he runs a 4.7, which has basically no practical difference from a 4.6
The point is he is still fast as **** for a left tackle.

With the depth of WRs and the RBs I am getting feeling that the Niners offense will look like the Saints offense with the different WRs and RBs. I'm also seeing James as a Darren Sproles type of player that the Saints have, and could become our X factor.

smith doesn't have to be as good as brees because the niners are better than the Aints everywhere but qb.

Maybe I should've clarified what I said. I know theres an unrealistic chance for Smith to put up Brees-like numbers, but with the amount of weapons Smith has at his disposal now, the Niner offense to me has similarities to the Saints.

Well a tenth of a second is a fairly significant difference in a short distance like a 40 yard sprint.
I just find it humorous that you believed that any NFL lineman would take a full tenth off their 40 time after 4 (IIRC) years in the NFL, seeing as during the combine and pro day, they are doing **** tons of work just to shave hundredths of a second off their time to improve their draft stock, and they practice their starting technique and such so damn much. NFL players don't ever run a 40 yard dash after the day they get drafted.

Still, the average speed of a lineman is like 5.5. he is significantly faster than an average lineman. he has more like tight end speed. (probably because he was a tight end)
