OK. I'll ask around. A couple of people who train where we do have Chessies. We're in NJ, but I'm not sure where they got their dogs.

Oh no dont worry about it. I didnt take it as you being short. Ive looked pretty hard on the internet. I know there are breeders around, but the problem is if they dont advertise on the internet I cant find them. I might just end up getting a chocolate lab or something instead.

my grandfather was breeding them for a while and he still has a couple but he does not breed anymore. i know he got one of the dogs from maine and the other from boston area. I can ask him if he knows of anyone down there or i can probably get you in touch with someone on the northern east coast (it will be a few days though, he is getting some stints put in this week).

if you would have been looking a few years ago i could have gotten you a really nice one but you would have to come up here to get it (or we would ship it, which was less than ideal)

thanks. Ideally Id want to meet the breeder and interact with the puppy and the parents before I buy. I dont mind greatly to travel some to get a quality dog, I juts dont want to drive more than 2 hours or so for a dog.
