OK, so I bought a Palmer pump, kinda old, but looks to be in great shape. One problem though, I screw in the bottle from the bottom(vertical) and air leaks like crazy from the lower tube out of the front. That would be the tube below the barrel, the one that the pump handle glides on. A friend and I broke it down to a point where we no longer felt safe trying to take out the last piece in that tube (my mind is drawing a blank right now). Any suggestions on how to further break the marker down and what could be leaking?

I don't believe that part is removable you may need to send it to palmers for serivice. What model is it?

Is it leaking out the front of the lower tube or near the vert Asa ?

If its leaking out of the front of the lower tube then it's a major sealing problem. If its leaking near the top of the vert Asa then all you need is some blue loctite

Air should not be escaping from that part. I would call palmers. I believe that part should be permanently sealed.

if it's leaking from the lower tube its probably a coupler o-ring...its the two parts that make up the internal air passages on the marker.

basically need to take the lower tube apart and the vertical ASA off and replace every o-ring in the marker... (full factory rebuild)
